Coffee with Carlos at VA - DOM Faculty Only Event

Faculty Development After a successful first year, we are excited to again hold “Coffee with Carlos” for 2026! These are informal gatherings where faculty members can connect with Dr. del Rio, the chair of the Department of Medicine, to share ideas and discuss important topics in a relaxed setting. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in open dialogue, ask questions, and provide feedback on various aspects of our department.  Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided. Ease of Research Office Hours - Group Discussion

As part of our Ease of Research Initiative, these new Ease of Research Office Hours sessions are dedicated time for faculty to drop in with research-related questions or hurdles. These are informal, no-agenda sessions intended to help navigate processes, clarify next steps, and remove small barriers before they slow progress. Faculty are welcome to drop in with questions at any stage of the research lifecycle. These can be early ideas, grants, IRB, compliance, timelines, students, or anything that feels like a bottleneck. No preparation is needed. The goal is to save time, clarify pathways, and keep research moving.
