LOWVELO is off to a great start with over 300 people participating in this virtual campaign to raise money for cancer research at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. Swing Fore Hope Golf Tournament

The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. Unlike standard one-day tournaments with large gatherings, this event will run from October 1st to October 31st, 2020, allowing golfers to play as their schedules allow. The Swing Fore Hope format will be Captain’s Choice with foursomes competing for top honors and a chance to qualify for a $1 Million Dollar Shootout that caps the tournament. Trophies and other prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. Haunted Trail

For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. The Haunted Trail will offer visitors the opportunity to get their fill of "gills, chills and thrills" as they traverse through spooky-themed rooms that are sure to give anyone a fright. The experience will be opening October 1st and will run through October 31st. Among the many effects that will be found on the Haunted Trail, there will be a series of Scare Control sensors. Visitors who are daring enough are encouraged to wave their hand in front of the sensor to truly test their tolerance for all things scary. The Haunted Trail will be the latest experience built fully in-house by the Aquarium’s exhibits team, following their most recent installation, “Monsters: From Micro to Mega.” The Haunted Trail will be available to all guests who visit the Aquarium and is included in the price of admission. What Women Bring

In May 2018, YWCA Greater Charleston put on its inaugural What Women Bring event celebrating women in business, community, and culture across South Carolina. The awards lunch and talk show-style panel of top women leaders quickly sold out. The May 2019 edition sold out even more quickly, despite the addition of overflow space. This year, the event was postponed to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. Unlike standard one-day tournaments with large gatherings, this event will run from October 1st to October 31st, 2020, allowing golfers to play as their schedules allow. The Swing Fore Hope format will be Captain’s Choice with foursomes competing for top honors and a chance to qualify for a $1 Million Dollar Shootout that caps the tournament. For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. Swing Fore Hope Golf Tournament

The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. The Charleston Farmers Market will return to Marion Square with a scaled-back event beginning on September 26th, this according to a recent article in the Post & Courier. For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. The Haunted Trail will offer visitors the opportunity to get their fill of "gills, chills and thrills" as they traverse through spooky-themed rooms that are sure to give anyone a fright. Swing Fore Hope Golf Tournament

The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. Unlike standard one-day tournaments with large gatherings, this event will run from October 1st to October 31st, 2020, allowing golfers to play as their schedules allow. Haunted Trail

For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. The Haunted Trail will offer visitors the opportunity to get their fill of "gills, chills and thrills" as they traverse through spooky-themed rooms that are sure to give anyone a fright. The experience will be opening October 1st and will run through October 31st. Among the many effects that will be found on the Haunted Trail, there will be a series of Scare Control sensors. The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. The Haunted Trail will offer visitors the opportunity to get their fill of "gills, chills and thrills" as they traverse through spooky-themed rooms that are sure to give anyone a fright. USS Laffey's Annual Memorial Service

On Monday, October 5th, at 10 am, veterans of the historic Navy destroyer USS Laffey will stream their annual memorial service live on the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum Facebook page. Swing Fore Hope Golf Tournament

The Lowcountry Hope Center will host its inaugural Swing Fore Hope charity golf tournament at the Wescott Golf Club in Summerville. This month-long virtual golfing event will benefit the nonprofit's mission to provide food, clothing, furniture, household goods, financial aid, and community assistance to struggling families in the region. Haunted Trail

For the first time ever, the South Carolina Aquarium will be adding a haunted house experience to it’s fall festivities. The Haunted Trail will offer visitors the opportunity to get their fill of "gills, chills and thrills" as they traverse through spooky-themed rooms that are sure to give anyone a fright. The experience will be opening October 1st and will run through October 31st. Among the many effects that will be found on the Haunted Trail, there will be a series of Scare Control sensors. Open to the public, CTS students and members "Charleston Tibetan Society (CTS) is a non-profit religious and educational organization with 501(c)(3) status. CTS was founded in 1994 with three missions: to increase the awareness of Tibet and its unique culture, to bring the major world religions together to make a more effective contribution to humanity and world peace and to raise funds, through various donations, to help Tibetan refugees living in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Under the auspices of CTS, we established a Dharma Center in 1998 and our sister Dharma Center in Columbia, SC in 2002. The purpose of opening the Dharma Centers is to meet the needs of the community for their fulfillment, growth and emotional and psychological well-being. Interest in Buddhism has grown in the past several years as those interested see the need to balance their life between spiritual awareness and external material sustenance.
