Natural Sciences Book Club Meeting
Attention Lake Michigan College students! The Natural Sciences, Exercise Science, and Wellness departments are sponsoring a science book club reading The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of Elements by Sam Kean.
This fascinating book tells the stories behind every element on the periodic table - tales of adventure, obsession, betrayal, and discovery. From the Big Bang to present day, Kean takes readers through the history of the elements and the (often eccentric) scientists who uncovered them.
As a member of the book club, you will receive a free copy of The Disappearing Spoon. We will meet throughout the semester to discuss the captivating science stories and how the elements connect to our world.
Whether you're a science enthusiast or simply science-curious, the Natural Science book club promises an engaging and educational read!
Free Lunch will be served!
