Planning for Retirement Seminars
Planning seminars will provide information regarding when a member can retire, how the pension benefit is calculated and payment options. Members should attend a planning seminar at least 3 months prior to the anticipated retirement date. The seminars are scheduled from 9:30am - 11:00am and you can register in Lerner Home.
Participants exiting Police DRSP or Fire/Sheriff & Corrections DROP are NOT required to attend the ERS Planning seminars.

Social Security Seminars
The Social Security Administration (SSA) will be conducting virtual seminars for Montgomery County Government employees and retirees. A SSA representative will provide information about Social Security, Medicare, their online services and will be available to answer questions.
Active employees: this seminar is included with the Planning Your Future: Finances, Estate
Needs & Social Security seminars. There is no need to re-register.
Retirees: Please use the link below to register for the Social Security seminar that fits your
schedule. We will send the meeting invite with the presentation attached a few days before the
event.
