Rensselaer County 15th Annual SART Conference
The Women's Institute
Purpose: The purpose is to provide the interprofessional members of the Rensselaer County Sexual Assault Response Team (nurses, social workers, physicians, law enforcement, attorneys, and other professionals) with additional knowledge, skills, awareness, and collaboration in the service of victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. An application for continuing education has been approved.

Objectives: Differentiate the significance of specific forms of sexual assault, such as intimate partner violence, tech-facilitated violence, and stalking, to better respond to these survivors' unique needs. Analyze a case study in sexual assault from presentation, investigation, and through the court process to identify Sexual Assault Response Team opportunities for improvement in prosecution outcomes. Value the influence of the Sexual Assault Response Team in the individual sexual assault survivor's experience.

Positive Education emphasizes principles of Positive Psychology, focusing on teaching a mindset that develops academic tenacity while building emotional and social well-being. It has been shown to improve students’ ability to engage in learning and reduce teacher burnout.
