Cricket and religion intersect in various ways, particularly in countries where cricket is a prominent sport and religion plays a significant role in society. Cricket Hall of Fame Inductee Ashok Adikoppula set up a local not-for-profit cricket league with the support of friends in the Capital Region. Ashok was the driving force behind a new law “Promote and Expand the Sport of Cricket in New York” he tirelessly advocated for 4 years, including finding the sponsors and cosponsors of the bill. His love and passion for cricket is about creating accessibility, especially for young people with south Asian heritages, to participate in cricket. Audience: All Students. Faculty/Staff.
