Taft Faculty Write Week

This one-week intensive writing workshop is for all faculty at any career stage or rank and from any college. It is premised on three basic ideas: writers benefit from being in an environment in which writing is prioritized; sustained motivation and consistent progress can be helped by peer accountability; and a structured schedule and set of flexible writing strategies can together contribute to successful writing sessions. Join Dr. Laura Micciche for a week-long on-campus retreat between spring and summer semesters. Participants will work on independent writing projects alongside one another. In addition to writing, we’ll take short breaks to set goals, report progress, and move around. Co-sponsored with the Faculty Enrichment Center who will provide light refreshments during each session. Join in-person at FEC or online via Zoom. Register via Faculty Development OneStop. Online Location: Register for Zoom Link. Audience: Faculty & Staff. Cost: Free. Event Type: Taft Writes. Monday, May 11, 2026, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. M-Tu: FEC Conf Rm 540A W-F: Langsam 480C (CET&L).
