The Liver Transplant Support Group is a patient-centered program designed to educate, empower and support individuals living with liver disease, those awaiting transplant and post-transplant recipients. The first session will focus on evidence-based nutrition strategies that promote liver function, support overall health and enhance quality of life throughout the transplant journey and beyond.
Led by clinical nutrition professionals, this session will address practical topics such as managing sodium and fluid intake, optimizing protein for liver health, maintaining adequate nutrition during illness and navigating dietary challenges before and after transplant. Participant are encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical tools they can apply in daily life.
