The 2025 Within Our Reach Symposium: What Have You Left Unsaid? - Effective Communication

The 2025 annual University of Maryland Parkinson's Disease symposium is for people living with Parkinson's (PwP), care partners, and others interested in movement disorders. This year patients and care partners will focus on improving their communication skills to facilitate social engagement and self-advocacy in their personal PD journey. The event theme is: What Have You Left Unsaid? - Effective Communication. Our keynote speaker, Matthew Moore, is a professional actor, director, writer, and teacher who has lived with PD for 6 years. Matthew will perform his powerful play entitled “What I Didn’t Say.” Matthew’s purpose in writing this play is to improve the relationship between clinicians and PwP, and between care partners and PwP.
