Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10am to 4pm for Nature Fest, MacArthur Beach State Park’s annual outdoor festival! Come play, learn, support local artisans, and enjoy all that MacBeach has to offer. Nature Fest will feature environmental exhibitors, music, Florida native plant vendors, animal show, food trucks, kayaking, kids zone, live music, and much more! It’s an event you do not want to miss at the only State Park in Palm Beach County! John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is located at 10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive in North Palm Beach. The event is free with Park admission.

Native Orchids of Palm Beach County with Bethany Simpson, M.S.
SPEAKER BIO:
Bethany Simpson is a conservation biologist and Coordinator of the Native Orchid Lab at FAU’s Pine Jog Environmental Education Center. She leads conservation efforts that combine field surveys, lab propagation, and public outreach, including the FLORA program (Fostering a Local Orchid Revitalization Area). Bethany has partnered with institutions such as the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Chicago Botanical Garden, and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens on research and conservation projects, including molecular and population-level studies of threatened orchids. She is passionate about showing how these rare and beautiful plants survive in South Florida, the challenges they face, and what’s being done to protect them—plus ways the public can help preserve our local orchid species.
