Catholic-Orthodox Community Gathering: "That They All May Be One"
Program Title: "That They All May Be One”: Christ’s Prayer We’ve Been Ignoring for 1,000 Years, and the Reuniting of the “East and West Lungs of the Original Church.”
Program Description: This program will explore John 17:20-23, the First Council of Nicaea (325 AD) and the Nicene Creed, from a historical perspective. The joint pronouncements of the Popes and the Ecumenical Patriarch lead us to discuss a metaphor as we begin to imagine how we could achieve the Lord’s prayer on the night before His Passion.
Sponsored by The Aquinas Center's Catholic-Orthodox Initiative.
Doors open at 6:30pm for Happy Hour. Dinner and the program will begin promptly at 7:00pm. Registration is required.

Catholic Social Teaching and the Meaning of Work
Catholic social teaching holds that the human being is the purpose of work, which challenges many preconceptions about work in our contemporary culture. While we can and should seek out work that is good for us, Catholic social teaching's inclusive definition of work offers hope for challenging work injustice and finding paths toward rest and leisure in our lives.
Dinner will be provided for those in attendance.
