2026–2027 Emory Dance Department
Choreographers: Faculty members Julio Medina and George Staib, and guest artists Cecily Davis, LaMia Dingle, and Jeanine Durning. Auditions are open to Emory undergraduate students enrolled in a dance technique class.

This dance concert features three choreographic projects by faculty Julio Medina. The evening explores cycles of life and death and is a continuation of Medina’s research of indigenous Mexican cosmology.

Candler Dance Event: The Play by Jeanine Durning

In this work by Alpert Award winning guest choreographer Jeanine Durning, a cast of three dancers explore the shifting terrain of desire, grief, and connection in an unstable and ever-changing world. Using improvisational scores, the work asks how we create meaning, maintain agency, and begin again - together - in the face of uncertainty.
