Ease of Research Office Hours - Group Discussion

As part of our Ease of Research Initiative, these new Ease of Research Office Hours sessions are dedicated time for faculty to drop in with research-related questions or hurdles.
These are informal, no-agenda sessions intended to help navigate processes, clarify next steps, and remove small barriers before they slow progress. Faculty are welcome to drop in with questions at any stage of the research lifecycle. These can be early ideas, grants, IRB, compliance, timelines, students, or anything that feels like a bottleneck. No preparation is needed. The goal is to save time, clarify pathways, and keep research moving.
Register and talk with Vibha Lama, MD, MS (Vice Chair of Research) and Charles Searles, MD (Associate Vice Chair of Research and Space Management).
Office Hours will be offered on alternating weeks via Zoom.

The Department of Medicine will host the 6th annual Health Equity Day on May 19, 2026. Nadia Hansel, MD, MPH, will serve as the keynote speaker for this event. Dr. Hansel is the William Osler Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
