Sunday Hike - Goanadogan
Join us for a 5-6 miles out/back hike with small loops through fields and woods. Bow hunting may be allowed in the area, but hunters are supposed to be gone by 9AM. However, wearing neon colors is a good idea this time of year.
Dress for the weather, hiking poles may be useful. Please leave your dogs at home. Contact the hike leader with any questions.

Additional Information: the Sunday Hikes are offered as a benefit to current and potential new members of ADK. All our hikes have a steady pace, so are not "nature strolls" but they are also not "endurance tests" although we do at times hike at a brisk pace. Bring plenty to drink. Equally important is the proper footwear, gear and clothing for changing conditions. This hike is planned to last 3-3.5 hours (total), but many times unexpected delays can occur, so if you are pressed for time, this hike may not be a good fit. Tuesday Hike (Hybrid)-Irondequoit Bay Park West

Two-hour hybrid hike split between a 1.2 mile one-way hike with a climb at the start, cutting south across the park and descending to the other parking lot on Orchard Park Blvd, then a 2.8 mile moderate section at a faster pace with 500' elevation ascent/descent on the Red, Orange, Blue and Purple trails in Irondequoit Bay Park West for the rest of the 2-hour hike. Meet at 9:45am in the in the Irondequoit Bay Park West parking lot (43.18910, -77.53007) on S Glen Rd/Bay Front S. next to the Irondequoit Bay Fish & Game Club for a 10:00am hike start. If you're only doing the first half of the hike, please RSVP to coordinate a shuttle ride to the start of the hike. Black Friday - Mendon Ponds Perimeter Loop Hike
Do you... Love Mendon Ponds Park? Hate the thought of shopping on Black Friday? Plan to eat more than a reasonable amount of turkey and potatoes on Thanksgiving? All of the above?

Join us for a hike of the perimeter trails of Mendon Ponds Park for a distance of 10-11 miles. This hike is not recommended for beginners - portions of the trail will be on hilly terrain and we will hike at a steady pace. Please contact the hike leader in advance to sign up - final details on the starting location and hike route will be provided to confirmed attendees.

We will meet at 8:15am to begin hiking promptly at 8:30am. Please dress for the conditions, bring water/snacks, and be prepared to sign ADK's release of liability form, which will be provided by the trip leader for you to complete in the parking area before starting the hike.

We'll hike the hilly trails of Thayer Hill Crescent Trail for approx. 4 miles or 2 hours. This location is on Pittsford Palmyra Road, Route 31. Pass Thayer Road on the right heading East and take the next left into the Firestone Plaza plaza parking lot. Please dress for the weather and bring water and a snack. Poles and hiking shoes/boots with good traction may be helpful. Plan to sign the liability waiver in the parking lot.
After the hike, gather for a potluck at Jill's house. Please bring a dish to pass. Dishes can be warmed in oven or microwave at Jill's.
