Hybrid - Ellison Park Hike
Two-hour hybrid hike at Ellison Park split between a flat ~1.1-mile loop on the south side of Blossom Rd, followed by a 3-mile second hike at a faster pace, mainly following the Coyote Trail. Meet at 9:45 am in the South Lodge parking lot on the south side of Blossom Rd, for a 10:00 am hike start. Please dress for the weather, bring some water to drink, and wear boots or trail shoes with good traction. Hiking poles may be helpful. We will hike the Northern Meadow and the Quarry trails in the north part of Mendon Ponds park for a 2 hour, approx 4 mile hike. There will be some hills so hiking poles and boots may be helpful. Auburn Trail in Victor
Join us for an approx. 16 mile bike ride along the Auburn Trail. This rail-to-trail is mostly flat, with a stone dust surface. We will start at the parking lot off Railroad St. near Main Street Fishers, and head east, under the Lehigh Valley trestle, and to the eastern end of the Auburn Trail at Rt 332. We then turn around and head back to the start. There is a short hilly section of loose gravel and a ½-mile section on suburban roads. Please plan for about a 2½ hour ride with a few stops. We will meet at 9:45 with wheels rolling at 10:00 AM. Please wear your helmet and dress for the weather. Bring water and snacks, if desired. Black Friday - Mendon Ponds Perimeter Loop Hike
Do you... Love Mendon Ponds Park? Hate the thought of shopping on Black Friday? Plan to eat more than a reasonable amount of turkey and potatoes on Thanksgiving? All of the above? This hike is for you! Join us for a hike of the perimeter trails of Mendon Ponds Park for a distance of 10-11 miles. This hike is not recommended for beginners - portions of the trail will be on hilly terrain and we will hike at a steady pace. Please contact the hike leader in advance to sign up. We will meet at 8:15am to begin hiking promptly at 8:30am. Please dress for the conditions, bring water/snacks, and be prepared to sign ADK's release of liability form, which will be provided by the trip leader for you to complete in the parking area before starting the hike. Women's Hike - Keuka Outlet Trail
We will hike for 2 hours, approx. 4 miles along the trail between Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake. There are several nice falls along the trail and it is mainly a flat trail. We will hike each direction from this parking area. Hiking poles and boots may be helpful if any slippery conditions exist due to the weather. Dress for the weather and bring water and a lunch in backpack to carry as we will eat along the way. If you'd like to carpool, meet at the Canandaigua Wegmans at 9:15 am. It is a 35 min carpool from there. If not carpooling, meet at Seneca Mill Falls parking on Outlet Rd. Women's Hike - Highland Crossing Trail
We will hike the Highland Crossing Trail which is a great 6 mile trail crossing several different areas. Depending on the weather and the interest that day, we can choose to hike 4-6 miles. The hike could go a little longer if we choose to hike the 6 miles to the end of the trail. This is mainly a flat trail so it's easy to get in more distance and fun to see what area this trail covers. Still hiking poles and boots may be helpful if any slippery conditions exist due to the weather.
