Sunday Hike - Spring Lake Park to Irondequoit Bay
Join us for an 8-9 mile hike following the route of Irondequoit Creek from Perinton to Irondequoit Bay. We will mostly hike through parks with a sidewalk walk between Panorama Plaza and Ellison Park. Meet at the parking area for L. Morin at 8:45; we'll carpool at 9:00 to Spring Lake Park to begin (seeking volunteers to drive) and walk back to our cars. Bring water and a lunch, we'll stop to eat. Dress for the weather, hiking poles may be useful. Please leave your dogs at home. Contact the hike leader with any questions.
Additional Information: the Sunday Hikes are offered as a benefit to current and potential new members of ADK. All our hikes have a steady pace, so are not "nature strolls" but they are also not "endurance tests" although we do at times hike at a brisk pace. Bring plenty to drink. Equally important is the proper footwear, gear and clothing for changing conditions. Tuesday Hike (Hybrid)-Vosburg Hollow-Hojack Trail-Gosnell Big Woods
Two-hour hybrid hike split between a 1-hour loop at a slower pace through Vosburg Hollow, to the flat Hojack Trail returning to the parking lot. Then a moderate section at a faster pace in Gosnell Big Woods for the rest of the 2-hour hike. Meet at 9:45am in the Vosburg Hollow Nature Preserve parking lot (43.24267, -77.49697; 595 Vosburg Rd, Webster, NY 14580) behind the brick pump building on Vosburg Rd for a 10:00am hike start. From 104, take Bay Rd north all the way to the T-intersection at Lake Rd. then turn right onto Lake Rd. Vosburg Rd is the first right (1000') where Lake Rd begins to curve left. Drive 0.7 miles east to where the road curves to the right and drops into the ravine. Slow down since it's a blind curve and the entrance is about 100' down the hill. Vosburg Hollow is on the right with a blue sign facing the road. Turn into the parking lot drive just before the yellow fire hydrant. Sunday Hike - Goanadogan
Join us for a 5-6 miles out/back hike with small loops through fields and woods. Bow hunting may be allowed in the area, but hunters are supposed to be gone by 9AM. However, wearing neon colors is a good idea this time of year.
Dress for the weather, hiking poles may be useful. Please leave your dogs at home. Contact the hike leader with any questions.

Tuesday Hike (Hybrid)-Irondequoit Bay Park West
Two-hour hybrid hike split between a 1.2 mile one-way hike with a climb at the start, cutting south across the park and descending to the other parking lot on Orchard Park Blvd, then a 2.8 mile moderate section at a faster pace with 500' elevation ascent/descent on the Red, Orange, Blue and Purple trails in Irondequoit Bay Park West for the rest of the 2-hour hike. Meet at 9:45am in the in the Irondequoit Bay Park West parking lot (43.18910, -77.53007) on S Glen Rd/Bay Front S. next to the Irondequoit Bay Fish & Game Club for a 10:00am hike start. If you're only doing the first half of the hike, please RSVP to coordinate a shuttle ride to the start of the hike. Please dress for the weather, bring some water to drink, and wear boots or trail shoes with good traction. Depending on winter trail conditions microspike traction devices may be needed. Do you... Love Mendon Ponds Park? Hate the thought of shopping on Black Friday? Plan to eat more than a reasonable amount of turkey and potatoes on Thanksgiving? All of the above?

Join us for a hike of the perimeter trails of Mendon Ponds Park for a distance of 10-11 miles. This hike is not recommended for beginners - portions of the trail will be on hilly terrain and we will hike at a steady pace. Please contact the hike leader in advance to sign up - final details on the starting location and hike route will be provided to confirmed attendees.
