Tuesday Hike (Hybrid)- - Oatka Creek Park Class C --
Meet at the Main Parking Lot in Oatka Creek Park at the corner of Union St, and Quaker Road. We will meet at 9:45A.M. and start hiking at 10:00 am and return around 12:00 pm. Follow the link above at "where:" if you are unfamiliar with this parking lot. We'll hike about 2 hours through the almost flat terrain of the Oatka Creek Park. The first part of the hybrid hike will be along the creek. The second part of the hike will be deeper in to the park. Remember to bring hiking shoes and bug spray, the trail may have tall grass. Bike Lehigh Valley Trail West
We’ll bike west starting from Rochester Junction along the Lehigh Valley Trail. We'll meet at 9:45 AM and wheels start rolling at 10:00AM. This is an out-and-back ride with turnaround at the Wadsworth Junction with the Greenway Trail. This is a flat, mostly gravel and dirt trail through woods, along the Honeoye Creek in Rush, past farms and neighborhoods, and over a trestle spanning the Genesee River. There are bathrooms and a bike maintenance station at Rochester Junction. We will ride approx. 15 miles with occasional stops. Please wear your helmet, dress for the weather and bring water and a snack. You must read and sign the “club’s release of liability form” which I will have at the parking lot. Paddle-Seneca River-Oak Island Park
Join us for a longer paddle on the Seneca River. We'll launch from Oak Island Park in Waterloo at 10:00 and paddle on the Seneca River to Geneva State Park where we'll have our lunch. Then we'll return to our put in. This will about a 5 hour paddle with stopping for lunch. Please bring your lunch, water and snacks. We'll travel at a leisurely pace as always and just enjoy the day. Directions: We will launch in Waterloo at Oak Island Park and boat launch, we will paddle west on the Seneca River appx. 5 miles to the Seneca lake State park where we can stop and have a lunch break. We will then paddle back east to Waterloo, total trip appx. 10 miles. Oak island is located on Oak Street in Waterloo. From Rochester take I90 east to exit 42, turn right onto route 14 heading south, take exit ramp for route 96 east and stay to the right onto Rt. 96 east. Follow Rt. 96 E to N. Women's Hike-Durand Eastman Park, Yellow Trail
We will hike for 2 hours, approx. 4-miles on the hilly trails of Durand Eastman park yellow trail. Meet at 9:45am for a 10:00am hike start. Meet at parking lot C on Lakeshore Blvd. at Durand Eastman park. This is near Horseshoe Road. We'll be in the woods, along the golf course, short pieces along Zoo road and Log Cabin road and hike out along Trott and Durand Eastman lakes. Please dress for the weather, bring water and a snack. Boots or trail shoes and poles may be useful on the trails.
If weather permits, bring a bag lunch and join me near Lake Ontario for a picnic lunch after the hike ends around noon.

Niagara Gorge Hike + Bike
Starting at the Riverway Parking Area at 9:30 am, we will lock up our bikes using bike racks there. Drive to Devil's Hole State Park on the Niagara Parkway to park our cars for the day. Parking is free. We will hike South along the Niagara River to the falls, beginning on Devil's Hole Trail. We will climb up and down stone stairs between upper and lower gorge trail sections. At Niagara Falls, we will stop for falls viewing and lunch, then walk to our bikes and ride on the Rim Trail back to our cars at Devil's Hole. Plan for an all day outing. Bring: lunch, snacks and water, bike helmet, lights. Wear shoes comfortable for both hiking and biking. Paddle-Canadice Lake
This will be a paddle around the shoreline of this picturesque Lake
The launch site is the DEC boat launch at the north end of the lake. (Take Rt. 15A through the hamlet of Hemlock, traveling south. Go past the end of Hemlock Lake, keep going on Rt. 15A S. You'll turn left on Purcell Hill Rd. At the end of the road, turn right on Canadice Lake Rd. and watch for the DEC kiosk on the right. You can drive down to the lake to unload your boat but you need to park along the road.) If fishermen are using the launch also - we'll keep our boats over to the right shoreline to provide them access to the launch with their trailers.
Be prepared to sign the ADK liability form, wear your PFD tight and correctly, and keep an eye on fellow paddlers. Bring: boat, PFD, boating supplies, sunscreen, water, snacks (optional)

We'll meet at the boat launch off Lake Ave in Charlotte at the Public launch near the Marina. We will paddle south on the Genesee River. Hopefully the fall leaves will be at peak and this will be a beautiful paddle where we can sometimes see turtles and swans and a large cement freighter. Be sure to dress for the weather as this is getting into fall and will be our last paddle of the season.
