Adirondack Wild Edible Plant Identification Walk
Join Natalie and me as she leads us along the Gull Lake trail identifying Fall Adirondack wild edible plants. This will be a leisurely walk with many stops where Natalie will describe plants, its edible parts and how she prepares them for enjoyable consumption. Natalie is extremely knowledgable and passionate about wild edible plants and has led many group outings. Of course we will refrain from harvesting any plants on state land. Early Fall Trail Maintenance
Our next Iroquois Chapter trail work day will focus on the Middlebranch Lake trails. We will work with a saw to clear limbs obstructing the trail and use loppers to cut brush encrouching on the trail. The trail is generally an easy walk with some hills and crosses a few small streams which we will "rock hop." Bring your own work gloves, lunch, snacks and water.
