MLK Day of Service

Honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. by serving local non-profit agencies. We are collecting socks for seniors. We are also collecting personal hygiene kits or hygiene items for seniors living in assisted living centers that are in need. Donations can be made at the Campus Connections Desk in Pond Student Union. Donate from January 18 to February 1 Unfortunately, many residents do not have family or friends to help support them with these basic items. The items needed include toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, razors, shampoo, and deodorant. Talk Saves Lives - Suicide Prevention Training Talk Saves Lives is the American Foundation for Suicide Preventions' standardized, 90 minute education program that provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what people can do in their communities to save lives. The course provides a basic overview of symptoms often associated with mental health problems and offers an action plan to help you RESPOND effectively. Senate Internship Program Virtual Information Session

Join us on February 3rd at Noon to find out more about this Internship Program Senator Risch's internship program is a great opportunity for students to learn first-hand about public service and the workings of the U.S. Senate. Interns gain knowledge on the federal legislative process and the day-to-day work that goes into researching, drafting, and passing a bill in the Senate. They will learn about the issues that are of great concern to my Idahoan constituents and me. All college students are welcome and encouraged to apply for this internship program. Internships are open to undergraduate students of all majors, and while preference is given to Idaho residents, all students are encouraged to apply. Bengal Financial Literacy Radio Show

The Bengal Financial Literacy show is designed to discuss basic financial topics to help educate and spread awareness about every-day financial issues.  Each month the show will welcome guests from various fields (Insurance, Tax, Banking, and more) to help improve our Financial Awareness and also discuss the new Financial Literacy Certificate that is being offered through the College of Business.
