Saltmarsh Trio Recital - Dbl Reed Performance
The Saltmarsh Trio will perform a chamber music recital on October 23, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goranson Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the Idaho State University campus. The trio consists of oboists Alyssa Morris and Geralyn Giovannetti as well as pianist Amalie Simper. The recital is sponsored by the Idaho State University Cultural Events Committee and the Idaho State University Music Department. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Idaho State-Civic Symphony presents: "Voices Oppressed and Liberated" a live concert at the Stephens Performing Arts Center on November 7th.
This powerful program explores struggle, resilience and joy. Rossini's overture, "The Thieving Magpie," opens the program on a triumphant note, followed by Shostakovich's dark and dramatic "Chamber Symphony," written in memory of the victims of war. Works by Richard Strauss and Joseph Haydn celebrate creative freedom and offer warmth and humor.

The Vienna Boys Choir is one of the most famous choirs in the world, and one of its oldest, boys have been singing at Vienna’s Imperial Chapel at least since 1296.Two hundred years later, on July 7,1498 Holy Roman Emperor Maxmillan established a Court Chapel in Vienna. Like their modern successors, the early modern boys spent much time on the road, following their imperial employer to sing at the Holy Roman Empire.
Composers Joseph Haydn, Michael Haydn, and Franz Schubert sang as boys with the choir; Anton Bruckner gave them singing and piano lessons.
