Enter a mysterious forest and the heart of a young hero’s journey in "Emme and the Taking of the Woods," a new fantasy adventure play by ISU’s own Jef Petersen, co-recipient of the 2023 KCACTF David Mark Cohen Playwriting Award. When nine-year-old Emme hears a cry from the woods behind their house, they embark on a multiverse-saving quest filled with danger, allies, and discovery.
