Get ready for pure musical Americana as the legendary Old Town School of Folk Music, in partnership with the Barrington’s White House, presents the Steve Dawson Trio. Steve Dawson has been called “one of the most underrated songwriters in American music,” writing “graceful, poetic songs akin to a volume of great short stories in their precise, exacting wordplay and soulful heartache.” In 2020, Dawson was awarded the Esteemed Artist Award from the city of Chicago. This concert will feature Dawson along with Alton Smith on keyboard and vocals, and Tommi Zender on guitar and vocals. The school itself is a cultural institution celebrated for preserving and evolving the folk tradition for nearly 70 years. This is a must-attend for anyone looking to experience one of the true authentic voices in American music.
