Join us to celebrate Mardi Gras with Caught Steelin’ steel drum Ensemble. Playing a wide range of musical styles including traditional calypso, Latin jazz, reggae, and arrangements of pop and rock favorites, Caught Steelin' is a steel drum ensemble based in Chicago. Alumni of the University of Illinois, the members of Caught Steelin' began performing calypso music together as a student ensemble. Years later, they reformed in Chicago, performing at a variety of venues like Cubby Bear, Wrigley Field, Guaranteed Rate Field, Epiphany Center for the Arts, and The Northman Riverwalk. The band’s shared love of baseball drives their frequent collaborations with Major League, Minor League, and indie baseball teams, while paying respect to the traditional music of Trinidad and Tobago.
