Traditional Indian Meditation Yoga

Animals of the North Pole

Animals of the North Pole! The Arctic Circle is one of the coldest, harshest environments on the planet.  Technically it is a giant frozen desert and the animals that live there have specific adaptations for survival in the Biome. Local Spotlight: David Ripp - Richmond's Olympic Figure Skate Maker

Richmond's David Ripp has specialized in skates for ice and hardwood for decades. His company, Skates U.S. manufactures the skates of choice for the majority of the current US National and World Champion Artistic Skaters and the World Quad Ball Roller Hockey Skaters. David will visit Morrisson-Reeves Library during the Richmond Meltdown on Wednesday, January 28, ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, to give a special presentation about the history of U.S. Skates and his work with Olympic figure skaters, as well as other national and global competitive skating teams.
