Zine Workshop: Earth Day/Love Your Mother

Zines are a unique and innovative way to be creative with a handmade, individual print. They are whatever you want them to be - and that's the beauty. In this workshop, you will create a piece that will be compiled into MRL’s very own zine. Plants Storytime with Richmond Parks

Author Talk: Mark Hamilton - 1803: The Wintering

Mark Hamilton's 1803: The Wintering is a People's History, written in traditional verse. This volume is based on Captain William Clark's journal entries while the Lewis & Clark Expedition was at Camp Dubois on the Mississippi River, just north of St. Louis. The aesthetic harkens back to the Romantics with Odes, Ballads, Sonnets, and heroic couplets. It has been praised by readers, editors, writers, and historians. Event Kind: One-time. Teddy Bear Camp Drop Off

Teddy Bear Camp offers a unique adventure for any stuffed animal belonging to children between the ages of five and twelve. After you drop off your fuzzy friend at Morrisson-Reeves Library, staff members from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources will take them on a special tour to explore local history and historic buildings across Indiana. You can follow along with their journey by checking for photos of their exciting activities on DNR's Facebook page. At the end of the week, every stuffed animal and their owner will be named a Junior Indiana Preservationist and receive an official certificate. Participants also get a digital photo album that documents every stop on the trip. Stuffed animals can be picked up on Friday, May 15, between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm at MRL. Event Kind: One-time.
