Antigone
IVCArts
Set in a postapocalyptic Thebes devastated by civil war, Antigone explores the clash between moral duty and state law. After brothers Polyneices and Eteocles kill each other in battle, King Creon decrees that loyal Eteocles will be honored with burial, while Polyneices, branded a traitor, must remain unburied. Defying Creon’s edict, Antigone insists it is her sacred duty to honor the gods by burying her brother, even at risk of death. This timeless tragedy wrestles with conscience, faith, and justice. IVC’s reimagined production, directed by faculty member and acclaimed fight director Martin Noyes, reanimates these themes with thrilling immediacy.
ADVISORY: The safety of our audience and actors is our top priority. This production includes scenes of theatrical violence that use theatrical weapons and the simulation of dying and death on stage. All prop weapons are non-firing, blunt-edged replicas that are handled with strict safety protocols administered by trained professionals. The firearms are never…

Día De Los Muertos Celebration
IVC Puente and the Offices of Student Life and Equity present IVC's Día De Los Muertos Celebration. Join the event with good music, food, arts and crafts as we embrace culture and traditions!
During Día De Los Muertos, the tradition is to build private altars ("ofrendas") containing the favorite foods and beverages, as well as photos and memorabilia, of the departed. The intent is to encourage visits by the souls, so the souls will hear the prayers and the words of the living directed to them.
Help us create a community altar by emailing us your photo by 12 pm on October 27 so we can have it ready for you to create a frame and add it to the alter during the event.
This event was made possible by IVC PUENTE Program, the Latinx Student Ass
