ELEVATE AAPI: The Masks We Wear – Craft, Create, Connect – Earth Day Edition
As we celebrate Earth Day, join ELEVATE AAPI for a sustainable afternoon of mask decorating and a guided discussion about the everyday layers we wear to face the world. We'll be digging deep to explore how these social personas affect our relationships and our sense of self—helping you unearth the real you. With snacks and all supplies provided, you’ll have the chance to get crafty, branch out with new connections, and share reflections that are anything but dirt-cheap. It’s a session designed to help you compost old habits and cultivate more authentic self-expression. ELEVATE AAPI: Knotty by Nature (Korean Traditional Maedup Knot Workshop)
In this workshop, we'll learn a Korean traditional knot called Dongshimgyeol Maedup (also sometimes romanized as maedeup) that signifies two hearts becoming one. The Lover's Knot can add a touch of traditional Korean decoration to your bag, outfit, life. The workshop is designed for all skill levels, and materials are provided. A short presentation about Korean traditional maedup will also be provided. We hope you'll be inspired by this traditional craft and enjoy your knotty creations.
