Walk and Talk
Take a mid-day break and join the Health and Wellness Center’s medical director, Dr. Firouzi, for a casual Walk and Talk on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:00.
This one-hour campus walk offers a relaxed space to stretch your legs, discuss general health topics, and connect with colleagues—no medical advice provided.
Walks continue every Tuesday from January 13 – May 19 (excluding 3/17, 4/7, and 4/21), meeting in front of the Library. Sessions are weather permitting. Come connect, learn, and get moving.

Breath Workshops
Take a moment to breath, reconnect, and reset.
We’re excited to invite you to our weekly virtual Breath Workshops led by Parisa Soltani, Counseling Faculty and breathwork facilitator. These 30-minute sessions are designed to help you slow down, recharge, and prioritize your well-being, right in the middle of your busy week. Ongoing breath practices include Humming, 4/7/8 (Weil), Nadi Shodhana, and Wim Hof.
What to Expect: Guided breathing techniques, soothing sound bowl therapy, and a relaxed, no-pressure environment. No camera or microphone needed! All are welcome!

Accessibility Center 2026 Workshop (External -Zoom)
We are pleased to announce the California Community Colleges Accessibility Center will hold its annual online workshop on Thursday, May 21, 2026, coinciding with Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
The workshop will offer a day of presentations highlighting accessibility awareness. Attendees will have access to join as many sessions as they choose and may come and go as needed throughout the day. Live captioning and ASL interpretation will be included in all sessions.

The Chancellor’s Office is pleased to announce a new free, self-paced systemwide professional learning opportunity, AI Literacy for Educators: Supporting Student Success, offered via the CVC@ONE platform. This opportunity designed for faculty, instructional designers, and academic leaders reflects the Chancellor’s Office Vision 2030 commitment to driving innovation and shaping the future of learning through strategic partnerships.
The course was developed originally through a collaboration between the Chancellor’s Office, the State University of New York (SUNY), the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and several Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), with project leadership and support from College of the Canyons and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). This project addressed a pressing need for professional development for community college instructors to enhance their AI teaching skills and prepare students for AI-driven careers.
