SOUL Community Tree Planting Day

Community Events Join SOUL for a community tree planting day! Tree planting volunteers arrive by 9:00am and typically plant until 1pm, followed by pizza. Planting involves using shovels and pick-axes to plant trees in 15 gallon pots, so volunteers should expect some strenuous activity. Please register at www.soulnola.org/volunteer-sign-up. Detailed information is sent to registered volunteers the Thursday prior to the planting. Saturday, December 9, 2023, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Whitney Corridor of Algiers. Holiday Toy Giveaway

Community Events On Tuesday, December 12th, the Mayor's Neighborhood Engagement Office, along with District “B” Councilmember Lesli Harris, will host a Holiday Toy Giveaway. The giveaway will begin at 5PM. The event will be held at Central City Senior Center (2101 Philip St.), for children ages 4-12. Please note, the child must be present to receive a toy. Toys are available on a limited first-come, first-served basis. Please enter via the Seniors Center parking lot on Philip St. between S. Saratoga Ave. and Loyola Ave. Mayor Cantrell and NEO are proud to work with District “B” Councilmember Lesli Harris, UnitedHealthcare, and The Dreambuilders Foundation. Broadmoor Neighborhood Meeting
