Adult Learn To Ride Bike Class
DOT Events
Advance registration is required to participate in this bike class, with a cost of $10 for Montgomery County residents. There is no charge for Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) or Capital Bikeshare For All members. However, registration is still required.
MCDOT's Adult Learn to Ride class is for participants 18 and older. WABA experienced Instructors break the skills down step by step to get you on a bike and rolling in no time. Participants learn to start and stop, balance, glide, pedal and steer a bike and progress at their own pace.
Bikes and bike helmets will be provided for use during the class.

MCDOT is hosting a series of informal pop-up events along the Veirs Mill Road Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. The team will share information about the Veirs Mill Road Flash BRT project. BRT will improve transit connectivity between Rockville and Wheaton with faster, more reliable and frequent transit service. The project will include dedicated lanes for buses, queue jumps that allow buses to jump ahead of traffic at intersections, and transit signal priority to help buses move through traffic signals. MCDOT is hosting a series of informal pop-up events along the Veirs Mill Road Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. The team will share information about the Veirs Mill Road Flash BRT project. BRT will improve transit connectivity between Rockville and Wheaton with faster, more reliable and frequent transit service. The project will include dedicated lanes for buses, queue jumps that allow buses to jump ahead of traffic at intersections, and transit signal priority to help buses move through traffic signals. MCDOT is hosting a series of informal pop-up events along the Veirs Mill Road Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. The team will share information about the Veirs Mill Road Flash BRT project. BRT will improve transit connectivity between Rockville and Wheaton with faster, more reliable and frequent transit service. The project will include dedicated lanes for buses, queue jumps that allow buses to jump ahead of traffic at intersections, and transit signal priority to help buses move through traffic signals.
