Free 3D/4D Community Ultrasounds

Community LMC Sonography Students are providing FREE 3D/4D ultrasounds to expecting parents. Wood Turn a PEN or PENCIL Workshop, Create pen, Fab Lab, mini lathe

Community Create your own wood turned pen or pencil in this workshop! All supplies and instructions are included. Price is per item. Many different styles to choose from. As part of the workshop, you will turn your own wood blank into your own usable pen or pencil. Safety materials included as well as the instruction to help you design your own pen. Community Four days of exploration in the Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College. Different projects will be available each day for participants to explore and learn the equipment in the lab. This is an open-style camp. Summer SEWIST Fab Lab Boot CAMP kids, laser, 3D printing, sewing vinyl

Community Four days of exploration in the Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College with an emphasis on our sewing department. Learn how a sewing machine works, how to read patterns, measuing the body, creating seams, customizing your pattern, alterations, and so much more! This is a project driven camp with many projects to choose from in order to master your skills. Participants should be at least 8 years old to participate within this camp. Proper attire is also needed. No open toed shoes or loose clothing. No “dangling” jewelry and all hair will need to be tied back. Our camps are designed for the participants to learn to come up with problem solving techniques and "make things". Sometimes, this involves failing, returning to the original concept and trying again. We want to create an environment of trying, re-thinking the process, and trying again to make the design better. LEGO Animation and 3D Design Blender Fab Lab Summer Camp

Community Legos are fun toys that have been around for decades. Made of sturdy plastic, they are versatile in how you can arrange them, build them, and use them. On top of being a very fun building material, they can be used to human sized furniture, rubber/mold creation, water diversion, and more fun things! We all know of the lego movie, but before that, people have been using lego to make stop motion animations, and using technic legos to make moving and animated pieces. We'll be using a program named Blender to do just that, create animation. This is a great camp for a beginner or one that has gone through our previous year's computer based camps. Build Your Own 3D Printer - Fab Lab, Makerspace, 3D printing, WOW Series

Community Build Your Own 3D Printer. Everyone begins with a 3D Printer kit (included)and over the course of the next couple of days, you'll learn how each component contributes to the overall operation of the printer so you'll be able to repair and replace components as needed. This workshop will last for two days, Monday the 1st and Tuesday the 2nd. Each day for three hours until the printer is completed. When you leave on the second day, you'll have a full functioning 3D printer for your home. Price also includes a roll of filament (PLA- 1kg) that will be used for testing your printer after assembly. Create, Program and Design Your Own Video Game in RPG Maker - Summer Camp

Community Custom build your own video game! This is a two week summer camp experience. We will hold class Monday through Thursday from 9am-Noon for two weeks. That's TWO WHOLE WEEKS OF GAMING! This is a great camp for a beginner or someone who took some of the gaming camps last year. Custom build your own video game! You will learn how to create menus, an overworld map, custom characters, how to make those characters speak, fight, create a following party, how to add assets, music and sounds and so much more in this fun, interactive experience. Community Love Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Galaga and can't play them anymore? Have you ever wanted to create your own video game? Well here's your chance. We will walk you through the entire process of creating your very own tabletop arcade machine. You do not need to be a wood worker in order to participate. This workshop is perfect for the do-it-yourselfer, or the family that would like to do a project together. Ticket is per arcade machine, not participant. Each ticket can have up to 3 family members join. You'll start with a sheet of plywood that will be cut into the appropriate shapes (arcade cabinet). HEALTH DISCOVERY SUMMER CAMP, fab lab, science 3D laser cutting vinyl

Community A week-long camp (4 days, Monday through Thursday) for the kids ages 10+ to take advantage of the equipment in the Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College.
