NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIVE: Improbable Ascent with Maureen Beck, Paraclimber

The Mendel Center Maureen Beck loves to prove people wrong. Born with one hand, she tried rock climbing for the first time after a camp counselor told her she could skip it. Her love of the sport was instantaneous, but there was no guide for climbing with one hand. Unfazed, she decided to figure it out for herself through trial and error – one of her early adaptive climbing innovations even involved taping a metal ladle to her arm. On their month-long expedition they dealt with rough… Room: Mainstage. Cost: $30 | $35 | $40 | $50 + service charge. Event Type: Mainstage and Econ Club Seasons. On April 30th, the tour makes a one-night-only stop at the Mendel Center. The Righteous Brothers concert experience features a string of their biggest #1 hits including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” (the most played song in radio history,) “Soul & Inspiration,” “Unchained Melody,” “Rock and Roll Heaven,” Medley’s Grammy-winning Dirty Dancing theme, “The Time of My Life,” and much, much more!
