Block Printing Workshop Pt. 2

Pack Memorial Block printing is an ancient craft in which artists carve a design into their chosen medium and print it onto paper. In this way the practice allows artists to create as many copies, or imprints, of their original design as they would like. While the first practitioners carved into wood, we will be working with an easier material- linoleum. This is the second of a two part workshop. During this session participants will return with their carved linoleum block and create prints with it. First I will give a demonstration on how to pull prints, then each participant will have the opportunity to make two or three prints of their own. We will have to share equipment so you will spend some time waiting for your turn. Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly. If you did not attend Block Printing Pt. 1 then this program is not for you. Keep an eye out for more craft programs in the future!
