Every third Friday of the month, Olive's Porch hosts a community carving night. Learn how to carve your favorite domesticated and woodland creatures in the style of the Brasstown Carvers. This event is provided free-of-charge to the public through grant-funding so tools and materials are provided. Ages 10+ are invited to participate. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Stop by Olive’s Porch during Murphy Art Walk on the first Friday of each month May–December. Throughout downtown Murphy, there will be arts, crafts, music, performances, art demonstrations, and interactive experiences for the entire family. Downtown merchants are open until 8 p.m. Murphy Artwalk is produced by the Valley River Arts Guild.
