Mindfulness for Positive Parenting
Mindfulness is deliberately paying full attention to your present environment and how your body is reacting to it. When you are a parent or caregiver, this is even more important! In this session, you will learn the benefits of mindfulness for yourself and your family, and we will practice techniques you can use to incorporate mindfulness into your day. Join us to calm the mind, take a much-needed break, and practice full-body relaxation and rejuvenation.
By modeling mindfulness and practicing together with your children, you’ll not only strengthen your own sense of calm and presence—you’ll help them build lifelong tools for emotional awareness, patience, and compassion.

Pre-Surgery Joint Replacement Education Class
Facing a knee or hip replacement can be a daunting task that many would like to put off, sometimes indefinitely. But we have found that the more our patients know about the preparation for surgery, hospitalization and recovery, the more comfortable they are about the procedure. And their outcomes are usually better, too. Therefore, we assembled a team of experts who have thoughtfully created services, educational materials and special amenities to make the joint replacement procedure as smooth as possible. Often our patients' only regret is that they didn't have the procedure sooner.
This class is held the first Wednesday of each month at 12 noon and third Wednesday of each month at 4PM.
View Our Joint Replacement Videos: Nursing Care and Preoperative Preparation , Inpatient Physical Therapy , Outpatient Physical Therapy , Home Care, Registration Required: Register online or by phone at 610-738-2300.

Navigating the Maze of Adolescent Substance Use and Mental Health
This program addresses “dual diagnosis” – the correlation between substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Adolescents addicted to drugs are roughly twice as likely to suffer from mood and anxiety disorders, with the reverse also true. Together, we’ll explore paths to recovery from co-occurring disorders, which can be difficult to diagnose due to the complexity of symptoms, as both may vary in severity. In many cases, people receive treatment for one disorder while the other disorder remains untreated.
