Speakeasy, Die Softly: Immersive Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at Carmine's
The Dinner Theater Show Everyone’s Dying To Attend… At Carmine’s in Times Square!
Speakeasy, Die Softly is the most elaborate comedic immersive murder mystery ever performed by The Murder Mystery Company. During this killer show, guests will enjoy a three-course, family-style Italian feast in the newly renovated Sinatra Room at the legendary Carmine’s in Times Square.
The year is 1927, a time of flappers, mobsters, bootlegging, and countless seedy speakeasies. Come on into Lou Zar’s and shimmy to the live music of the club’s famous songstress, Lucy Morals, and her accompanist, Keys Yacar, or, if you prefer, play some casino games and win big money you can blow on “soda pop.” Unfortunately, the fun can’t last all night– the feds have been sniffing around! We need your help to flip the speakeasy into a “legitimate Italian restaurant” before the police raid the place. However, even amidst all these games, dames, and dons, someone had murder on their mind! You and your table team must help the detective solve…

THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART PRESENTS Immigrant Nation: People in Transit
The Museum of Modern Art announces a film series, Immigrant Nation: People in Transit, from July 3–September 10, 2026; it is one of many programs MoMA has planned in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Moving people have always produced moving images. As collective efforts, films, like our daily lives, emerge from multiple cultures, languages, and origins—they are the result of an incessant flow of personal exchanges. Unsurprisingly, immigration is a recurring theme in cinema, reflecting the colossal efforts people make to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles to find happiness and freedom—or to sacrifice their own for the benefit of others.

The pursuit of a dream—the American Dream—and the hope for a better future has come to define the lives of millions of people. This series highlights the illusions and disillusions of that dream: utopia and harsh realit…

Newly independent African countries wanted to project—both inward and outward—a forward-looking, progressive, and cosmopolitan self-image, and modern architecture embodied this aspiration. A new architectural identity engaged with the political ideas of Pan-Africanism and Africanization, and was shaped by arc…
