The Lymphedema Support Group at Good Shepherd Penn Partners provides a safe place for anyone dealing with lymphedema as the result of impaired lymph system from birth or from an injury or illness. This ONE-DAY accelerated and interactive course will review relaxation, stages of labor/vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, anesthesia, postpartum, and hospital newborn care. Birthing parents and partners will have the opportunity to practice labor positions, breathing techniques, and swaddling/diapering newborns.

The Lymphedema Support Group at Good Shepherd Penn Partners provides a safe place for anyone dealing with lymphedema as the result of impaired lymph system from birth or from an injury or illness. Have you ever noticed how music can just make you feel better? How are you already using music to cope? How can music be utilized to promote well-being in mind and body? In this virtual support group, participants will engage in music experiences that may sound like guided relaxation to music, making music through facilitated song-writing, or sharing and listening to meaningful songs to craft an intentional playlist. We will explore shared emotions and experiences along the way. No musical experience is required. Groups will be facilitated by a board-certified music therapist.

Virtual Sibling Class

The arrival of a new baby is a very exciting time for the entire family, especially for the older brothers and sisters. This virtual interactive class will prepare your child for the new baby. It is geared toward children ages 3-10. Each child must be accompanied virtually by an adult. Class activities will include reading a book about becoming a big brother or big sister, learning how to hold and swaddle a new baby, toy safety, proper handwashing techniques, and discussing the changes that occur within the family.

IN PERSON Childbirth Prep Labor Lab

This ONE-DAY accelerated and interactive course will review relaxation, stages of labor/vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, anesthesia, postpartum, and hospital newborn care. Birthing parents and partners will have the opportunity to practice labor positions, breathing techniques, and swaddling/diapering newborns.
This class is led by a women's health RN/Childbirth Educator and is designed for those who want to receive all course content within one class day. Web-based learning materials will be provided. There will be a 45-minute break for lunch.
Families are encouraged to register separately for a virtual maternity tour session.

This non-certification course teaches the lifesaving skills of Infant CPR and the relief of choking. Skills are taught by Certified CPR Instructors. Due to this being a virtual course, instruction will be limited to observation only.
