Mindfulness Meditation
Join PMC's Oliver Jane as she guides participants in a program of meditation and mindfulness to promote well-being.
Weekly on Monday early afternoon, we will explore mindfulness exercises that can be done in a group and/or solo when you are at home. In this group, we hope to build a community and a basic understanding of how mindfulness can be integrated into your daily life. Mindfulness practices and exercises can help ease your stress, calm your mind, and ground you in the present moment. Each session will include guided meditations, an introduction to mindfulness and meditation techniques, and group discussions. We welcome all experience levels with meditation and mindfulness and will make the class accessible to those with cognitive impairment or dementia.

We see your love and commitment as a caregiver. And we know that this takes significant time and energy.
Being a caregiver is exactly that.....giving care to others. How do you manage and process your experiences in this role?
I imagine you experience a spectrum of emotions, challenges, shifts in relationship dynamics, uncertainty, exhaustion, physical demands, disconnection, the list probably goes on.
There is grief that comes with being a caregiver. Anticipatory grief and the grief of a life not playing out as expected.
Who is caring for you?
Please join Beth as a way to allow her to care for you. Let this be a devoted time for you to become aware, to express, to connect, and to restore.
You are not alone.
If you would like, the instructor has recommended the following items for class:
Yoga mat or a comfortable chair
Journal
Blanket

Spring Dates: Mondays, March 17 through April 21 at 1pm.
This class/program is free to patients/families seen at the Penn Memory Center and made possible from the philanthropic Caring Difference fund. Please consider making a donation so that we are…
