Franklin's Key
Pig Iron Theatre Company presents the return of Franklin’s Key, a critically acclaimed, thrilling sci-fi adventure reimagining Benjamin Franklin’s legacy in an alternate universe where science and magic collide. During the War of Independence, the British feared that Benjamin Franklin could control the weather. But what if that were true? Set amid iconic Philly landmarks, Franklin’s Key follows two high school prodigies racing to protect Franklin’s hidden technology from shadowy forces.
Franklin’s Key blends the city’s rich history with larger-than-life characters, sharply choreographed object transformation, and breathtaking stage illusions by Skylar Fox (Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Back to the Future: The Musical) to create a pulse-pounding, brainy delight of a show for theatregoers of all ages.

This is (Not) a Celebration: Queer Resistance 1976/2026
This Is (Not) a Celebration: Queer Resistance, 1976/2026 reveals the history of Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ organizing, activism, and protest during the Bicentennial through rarely seen archival materials and the work of three local artists; Scarlett DeLorme, Justin Jain, and Amy Cousins, whose work engages with these stories through a contemporary lens.
Within the civic reflection of the 250th of the United States, This Is (Not) a Celebration shifts the focus from commemoration to resistance. Organized by the William Way LGBT Community Center, artists were invited to create work in dialogue with materials from the Center’s John J. Wilcox, Jr. Archives—the most extensive collection documenting the history of Philadelphia’s LGBTQ community. Scarlett DeLorme's wet plate photography, Justin Jain's ceramics, and Amy Cousins’ print and fiber installations insist that 1976 was not a moment of patriotic consensus, but one of queer defiance.

The Birth
Join us for the Exhibition Reception of The Birth by Low-Residency MFA alum, SEIVIN. Shortly after graduating from the MFA program in the summer of 2025, SEIVIN was invited to create an installation in the Broad Street Studio at the front of the Hamilton Building. Known for elaborate and colorful site-specific tape installations, he transformed the glass gallery into a dynamic, entangled experience solely using tape.

Visit Philadelphia and TED are collaborating to create TED Democracy Philadelphia: Founding Futures
Held in honor of America’s 250th birthday in 2026, this flagship event will feature more than a dozen brand-new TED Talks from the Marian Anderson Hall stage, as well as interactive activations, performances, culinary pop-ups, and networking opportunities. The event’s Founding Futures theme takes an active interpretation of the word “founding,” exploring the evolving story of democracy, while both honoring our past and looking ahead.
We’re not just celebrating what was founded here, but asking how we are founding the future. Guests are invited to imagine the democracy we want to build by examining the ideals that shaped the past and the hard-earned lessons that continue to push us forward. Tunes on the Terrace featuring the Arcana New Music Ensemble
In collaboration with Bowerbird, Stoneleigh is pleased to present the Arcana New Music Ensemble performing the music of Pauline Oliveros’s works The Well and The Gentle. Pauline Oliveros’ (1932-2016) life as a composer, performer and humanitarian was about opening her own and others’ sensibilities to the universe and facets of sounds. Her career spanned fifty years of boundary dissolving music making. In the ’50s, she was part of a circle of iconoclastic composers, artists, and poets gathered in San Francisco. In the ’60s, she influenced American music profoundly through her work with improvisation, meditation, electronic music, myth, and ritual.
Written between 1982-1983 and commissioned by Philadelphia’s Relâche Ensemble, The Well and The Gentle are two of Oliveros’ Sonic Meditations – text-based, intuitive pieces rooted in listening with minimal instructions.

Peter Ydeen Waiting for Palms Opening Reception

Location: Noyes Galleries at Stockton University Kramer Hall 30 Front Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037

Event description:
Waiting for Palms is a series of urban landscape photographs taken by artist Peter Ydeen in Morocco and Egypt, which explores where the quiet traces of tradition intersect with the turbulence of modern expansion. The images linger on the everyday, set within monumental landscapes and constructed from an accumulation of small, unheroic moments. Together, they form a tapestry of worlds that are immediate and enigmatic, intimate yet always elusive, creating an experience of perpetual interpretation.
All are welcome to attend the free opening reception on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Noyes Galleries at Stockton University Kramer Hall in Hammonton, NJ. Light refreshments will be provided and live music will be performed by Randy Harry.

Conceived in Crisis: Pennsylvania in 1776
The Pennsylvania Provincial Conference was held June 18–25, 1776, at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia. The Conference had a profound impact on American public opinion and facilitated the passing of the Declaration of Independence only a few days later. The 1776 Pennsylvania Constitution was radically innovative for its time, including a Declaration of Rights that predated the Bill of Rights and a provision that voters did not need to own property. Christopher Pearl, scholar and author of Conceived in Crisis: The Revolutionary Creation of an American State, will lead a discussion on the radical birth of the Keystone State.
A number of original manuscripts from the Provincial Conference will be on view in a pop-up display just for the evening. Also, program attendees will have the opportunity to view the exhibition Paths To Independence, 1765-1787, which includes significant founding documents such as the only known printer’s proof of the Declaration of Independence.

South Africa vs France: The Wine Class
Get Tickets
The first South African wines we tasted came shortly after the fall of apartheid. Even then, the potential was obvious—ancient soils, a Mediterranean climate, high elevations, and a wealth of old vines. A rare combination in any winegrowing region. But it wasn’t until around 2010 that that potential truly began to take root. Today, names like Swartland, Walker Bay, and Paarl should be on every wine lover’s radar.
In this class, we pit some of our top picks from South Africa against the classics of France! Let’s see how this up-and-coming wine region holds up to the most famous wine country in the world!

Bourbon! The Whiskey Tasting Class
Bourbon! is a tour-de-force of one of our favorite drinks. Learn how it’s made, what makes for a great bourbon, and some brands to look out for while tasting some fantastic examples. A generation ago, they called it brown liquor. Now, we call it the angel’s share. Do you know what all great liquor has in common? They are aged for many years –sometimes decades– in charred white oak barrels.
Barrel-aged booze is what this class is about. This is the class for boozehounds looking for the next great experience. From Tennessee Bourbon to Philly-made Bourbon, you will learn about (and taste) a fantastic selection of barrel-aged booze. This class features some of our favorite bourbons but includes a how-to to make great cocktails. We’ll even show you how to turn white spirits into your signature whiskey.

Enjoy the magic of a summer evening stroll in the garden coupled with live musical vignettes. In collaboration with Bowerbird, Stoneleigh is pleased to present a new, outdoor musical experience in which guests are invited to “Follow the Sound.”
Guided by Stoneleigh staff, small groups will amble the garden experiencing the natural soundscapes of twilight in June interspersed with site-responsive performances by improvising musicians along the way. This will be a rare and special opportunity for deep communal listening and attunement in a beautiful setting.
Please purchase tickets for your desired tour departure time. “Follow the Sound” is an active experience lasting 60 to 75 minutes.
Gates will open at 5:00 pm for picnicking. Guests are invited to bring a picnic and a blanket to enjoy the garden before or after their “Follow the Sound” tour time. The garden will close at 8:30 pm.
Please note: The rain date for this event is Sunday, June 21.
