Reimagined Street Scenes

This installation features six illuminated art panels hand crafted by Lisa Marie Patzer Studios. The visuals are inspired from photographic 35mm slides shot by Ben Kabakow, a NYC postal worker and photographer. Kabakow travelled the world throughout the mid-1900's, capturing images of urban features such as buildings, cars, signs, and people. With color, pattern, and a retro-graphic design, Lisa Marie reimagines scenes from Ben's travels with a surreal and whimsical aesthetic. Lisa Marie Patzer is a digital media artist, designer, and entrepreneur creating site-specific art that integrates light, pattern, historic imagery, and vibrant color. This installation features six illuminated art panels hand crafted by Lisa Marie Patzer Studios. The visuals are inspired from photographic 35mm slides shot by Ben Kabakow, a NYC postal worker and photographer. Kabakow travelled the world throughout the mid-1900's, capturing images of urban features such as buildings, cars, signs, and people.
