Written by Mark Shanahan, the play skillfully weaves together the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens into a clever mystery. Six actors portray the beloved characters of Sherlock Holmes, Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Dr. Watson and more in a heart-warming and very theatrical show for all ages.

This installation features six illuminated art panels hand crafted by Lisa Marie Patzer Studios. The visuals are inspired from photographic 35mm slides shot by Ben Kabakow, a NYC postal worker and photographer. Kabakow travelled the world throughout the mid-1900's, capturing images of urban features such as buildings, cars, signs, and people. With color, pattern, and a retro-graphic design, Lisa Marie reimagines scenes from Ben's travels with a surreal and whimsical aesthetic.

TreeFest is a Bloomsburg-area holiday event during which the public is invited to view dozens of Christmas trees decorated by local organizations sponsored by local businesses and individuals. Join us for the third annual Festival of Trees fundraiser in partnership with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) at the former LOVE Park Welcome Center. The winter wonderland, running from November 29th to December 24th, 2025, will showcase over 20 uniquely decorated holiday trees, designed with the support of local artists and sponsors such as the Philadelphia Zoo.
Visitors can enjoy the magical atmosphere and vote for their favorite tree design with snowflake tokens by making any donation. All donations collected will support the Children’s Fund at CHOP to support families who need it most.

The Fall 2025 term of Suzuki Pre-Twinkle will run September 27 through December 6 (no class November 29th).
Pre-Twinkle Classes provide opportunities for very young children to develop basic musicianship and readiness skills for success in the Suzuki approach. A core component of Pre-Twinkle classes at Temple Music Prep is Suzuki POP (Paper Orchestra Program). Students will build a violin, viola, and/or guitar out of everyday household items, sing, and move with their instruments. Students will have a variety of musical enrichment activities that mix arts and crafts with music. Students will do drills to start establishing a set of violin/viola/guitar performing skills. Students will learn instrument and bow parts or strum patterns plus the famous “Twinkle Variations” on their Paper instruments. At the end of the session, students will present a short performance to show off their instrument.

A Painted Tinware Writing Box Virtual Program
Explore the manufacture, context, and conservation treatment of an 1800s painted tinware writing box in the museum collection with Luca Denegre, Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation fellow. Writing boxes like this one were used in the West before the invention of the fountain pen in the early 20th century. This small red box includes an inkwell and sand shaker, and likely once held other writing tools like wax, quills, or a dip pen. The lid and sides of this everyday object are painted and decorated with gold designs done with bronze powders. The conservation of the box included repairing a broken hinge to restore the functionality of the lid and aimed to restore legibility of the engaging design and stabilize flaking paint while honoring the evidence of everyday use by its previous owner. This installation features six illuminated art panels hand crafted by Lisa Marie Patzer Studios. The visuals are inspired from photographic 35mm slides shot by Ben Kabakow, a NYC postal worker and photographer. Kabakow travelled the world throughout the mid-1900's, capturing images of urban features such as buildings, cars, signs, and people. With color, pattern, and a retro-graphic design, Lisa Marie reimagines scenes from Ben's travels with a surreal and whimsical aesthetic.

Join BalletX’s Rehearsal Director Keelan Whitmore for a movement and choreography workshop that invites participants to bridge art, science, and movement.
Drawing inspiration from microscopic photography and videography of nature and the human body, participants will be asked to reflect on what is visible and invisible to the human eye and guided to explore these concepts through dance. We’ll begin with a collective and holistic warm-up drawing from contemporary, ballet, and modern techniques geared towards students of all experience levels, preparing the body and mind for exploration. The kits can offer stimulating and entertaining support for patients of Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease and other memory loss syndromes, as well as for caregivers and others who are close to them.

Knitters Seek Yarn for Kids' Holiday Gifts at the OCL Manchester Branch
MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP – The ball of yarn that you no longer need or want can bring warm smiles to the faces of Ocean County youngsters in need when the weather turns cold. The Ocean County Library Manchester Branch’s “Chicks with Sticks” will use it to make special handmade gifts in time for the end-of-year holidays.
Each year, the knitting and crocheting group supports the Ocean County Health Department’s collection drive of gloves, mittens, hats and scarves, given at holiday time to children who use the services of OCHD’s various clinics. Yarn is essential for this worthy cause, and supplies are low.

A traditional Julbord takes place on December 24th and is one of the highlights of the Christmas celebration for Swedes. Some menu items on a traditional Julbord are remnants of Viking spreads from mid-winter solstice celebrations, while other originate from the turn of the twentieth century in Sweden. The Fall 2025 term of Suzuki Pre-Twinkle will run September 27 through December 6 (no class November 29th).
Pre-Twinkle Classes provide opportunities for very young children to develop basic musicianship and readiness skills for success in the Suzuki approach. A core component of Pre-Twinkle classes at Temple Music Prep is Suzuki POP (Paper Orchestra Program). Students will build a violin, viola, and/or guitar out of everyday household items, sing, and move with their instruments. Students will have a variety of musical enrichment activities that mix arts and crafts with music. Students will do drills to start establishing a set of violin/viola/guitar performing skills. Students will learn instrument and bow parts or strum patterns plus the famous “Twinkle Variations” on their Paper instruments. At the end of the session, students will present a short performance to show off their instrument.

About the Chester Children's Chorus
The Chester Children's Chorus provides free, year-round music and math education to children in grades 3-12 from Chester, Pa.
During the school year, children and youth develop their vocal talents through rehearsals and concerts, as well as their math skills through small-group and individualized instruction.
Throughout the summer, students participate in a rigorous five-week, full-day learning program filled with music and math in addition to science, art, swimming, and more.

The Delaware County Symphony invites audiences to a special concert on Saturday, December 7, celebrating the powerful influence of immigrant composers who brought their talents and traditions to America.
The concert opens with Antonín Dvořák’s American Suite, a charming and lyrical work inspired by the composer’s time in the United States. Acclaimed cellist Branson Yeast, principal cello of both Opera Philadelphia and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, joins the Symphony as guest soloist for Erich Korngold’s Cello Concerto- a work that bridges the worlds of European romanticism and Hollywood film music. The program concludes with Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, a brilliant and virtuosic masterpiece- and the composer’s only major work written entirely during his years in America.
The Coming to America Symphony Concert will be presented on December 7 at 3:00 PM in Neumann University's Meagher Theatre. Tickets for the concert may be purchased at dcsmusic.org/tickets.
