Hula, Mele & Research Workshop and E Hula Mau Celebration
Na Mamo presents a Hula, Mele & Research Workshop and E Hula Mau Celebration.
Discover the art and practice of uncovering the history, meaning, and cultural significance of mele (song) and hula (dance). This hula workshop will be taught by the notable Kumu Hula Leialoha Lim Amina from Honolulu. The workshop will be held from 9am-11:30am.
The E Hula Mau Celebration at 6pm will feature three hula schools dancing the ancient and modern hula of Hawaii along with a popular Orange County Tahitian troupe, Le Polynesia, who will mesmerize us with their quick hips and lovely hands.
Join us for a very authentic and culturally significant celebration!
