8 Day Group Liver Reset- Early Bird Signup
Nevada City Chamber
Our livers do so much for us, yet, they never get the respect due back. Liver cleansing is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being as the liver plays a central role in detoxification and metabolic processes within the body.
In TCM philosophy, the liver is believed to be associated with the emotion of anger. Over time, the liver can become burdened with emotions, toxins from our environment, processed foods, medications, and alcohol consumption.
A liver cleanse can help support the liver's natural detoxification functions, allowing it to efficiently process and eliminate toxins, promoting better digestion, emotional regulation, improved energy levels, clearer skin, and enhanced immune function. Additionally, a healthy liver contributes to better nutrient absorption and can aid in weight management efforts. Regular liver cleansing can be a valuable component of a holistic approach to health and longevity.

Playwriting Group
Tourism
All playwrights welcome! Whether playwriting is new to you or you're already an accomplished playwright, come join this on-going bi-weekly writers' group. We'll spend our time focusing on our writing, but with that magical element of doing so within the presence of others. Come discover the amazing experience of writing within the context of a group. Bring your computer, notebook, iPad, or whatever you like to use for writing. We share resources, discuss our goals and challenges, even provide feedback, but the primary focus of the group is to work on your own play! We'll do a check-in/discussion at the beginning of the meeting, then write in silence, and check-out at the end of our session. Contact Kimberly for the location and to answer any questions you may have.

Poetic Crossings | Back Then, Tomorrow
Tourism
Drawing on the title of Peter Coyote’s book of poems, this year’s iteration of Poetic Crossings leans into the notion that what unfolds on the ridge today is inseparable from what came before—and from what may yet come. The present is shaped by memory, by inheritance, by traces of old ways that never fully disappear. Time here is not a straight line but a cycle: what was can return through remembering, through discovery, or, at times, through complete collapse.

Exploring The Rivers Saved From Dams - A Good News Story about the Bear River and Colorado River
Tourism
Spoiler alert: we stopped the dams and saved some incredible sections of river. Chances are, you've never seen Bear River or the Colorado River like this. Even though the Bear River is right in our back yard, her most beautiful sections are completely hidden from the general public. Likewise, the Colorado River has carved out some of the most beautiful sections of river this world has ever seen, but it is hiding in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Both of these rivers have had their challenges, they've seen men with greed in their heart and dollar signs in their eyes come to block their passage, flood their banks, and steal their water, in an effort to line their pockets, and sell their water to the highest bidder. But these rivers survived, and their story is our story.

Through film, photos, and stories, we will celebrate these two remarkable rivers and the grassroots efforts that saved them. We can’t wait to see you Saturd…
