Event Purpose: . The community block party is an event we host annually for the Germantown community and all surrounding areas. This event is geared towards assisting the entire family in many different areas. We give out back to school supplies, food, gently used and new clothing, school uniforms, and so much more. Drop-in and join McCall Gardeners on Wednesday, August 19 from 6-8pm to do some gardening, painting, and clean up to get the school yards ready for the first day of school.
We could especially use some strong adults as we need to dismantle a rotted bench and move broken pavers on the 6th St side to the dumpster.
If you have garden gloves, gardening shears, work gloves, or trash grabbers, please bring them.
Young kids are welcome but the bulk of the tasks are better for older students and grown-ups. There will not be babysitting available.
