Every Saturday, a group of Penn medical students are on location at Philly Cuts Barbershop with a blood pressure measurement and health education station. Two volunteers are needed to assist in this weekly endeavor. Volunteers must be credentialed in the Health System to take blood pressures. Please sign up with confirmation to attend.
Event Purpose: Partnering with babershop owners to help address health disparities facing African-Americans (especially African-American men) by providing blood pressure screenings and health education at a location of convenience. # of Attendees Expected: 20. Host Organization: Perelman School of Medicine Chapter of the Student National Medical Association.

10 volunteers are needed to help prepare a welcoming, nutritious meal for the organ donors and their families who stay as Gift of Life guests at Howie's House. Gregory, who is committed to this leading service for the year, will prepare the menu, bring all food items, and guide the volunteer team in cooking and putting together the meal.

Chosen 300 Ministries serves meals to homeless throughout the week at 3 locations in the region. 15 volunteers are needed to help on Wednesday evenings at this Spring Garden location. Organize your group or just come by yourself and be a part of the Penn Medicine team. Help is needed! Anyone 14 years old and older is welcomed.
