Red Cross Sound the Alarm: Smoke Alarm Installation
Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Join the American Red Cross, for a Sound the Alarm event in Kingsessing neighborhood. The Sound the Alarm initiative helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms and educating people about home fire safety. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide all the training you will need at the start of the event. This event will be held rain or shine.
Volunteers age 18+ can attend. Volunteers aged 16-17 can volunteer without a parent or guardian, but must have parental/guardian consent and be accompanied by an adult.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

ROAD READY: A MOTORCYCLE SAFETY EVENT
All riders from across the Philadelphia region, including Reading and its surrounding areas, South Jersey, and Delaware are welcomed! Whether you ride solo or roll in with a group, this event is for you. No cost. No registration required. Just show up. After the event, take advantage of the incredible surroundings — RevZilla is located in the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard, offering a scenic and unique ride through landmark buildings, decommissioned ships, and beautiful green space along the Delaware River. It's a perfect way to cap the day.

Community Health Fair - Shift 1
This 5th annual Community Health Fair brings together Penn Medicine doctors, residents, staff, and West Philadelphia community residents to offer health screenings, access to care, education, and awareness - promoting true health equity. The Community Health Fair will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 11:00am to 3pm. If you are an employee within the Health System, please sign up to volunteer. Two volunteer shifts are available, 9-noon and noon-3pm. You may sign up for both shifts.
Volunteer duties include setting up the event (tents, tables, chairs), handing out literature, assisting at and between each set up, handing out food and water, and cleaning up.
Event Purpose: This annual event is part of Penn Medicine's commitment to making cancer screenings and preventative health care more accessible and equitable, particularly to our local, West Philadelphia neighbors. # of Attendees Expected: 350. Chosen 300 Ministries serves meals to anyone in need throughout the week at 3 locations in the region. 15 volunteers are needed to help complement other volunteer groups on Wednesday evenings at this Spring Garden location. Organize your group or just come by yourself. Help is needed! Anyone 14 years old and older is welcome. (If you sign up for this event, please hold this time on your calendar. Our team is small, and we need everyone who signed up to show up.).
Event Purpose: To serve a hot meal to the those in need of one. # of Attendees Expected: 120.
