The Llano Fine Art Guild and Gallery presents “Canvas and Quilts: The Art of Ira and Kathy Kennedy” through Sept. 28. LBJ Ranch Bike Tour
Take a free guided bike tour of LBJ Ranch in September. Six-mile rides are scheduled on Sept. 6, 12, 20, and 27. See beautiful Hill Country views and learn history. Participants should stop first at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park to pick up a free vehicle permit and map. Upon leaving the state park, drive 1.5 miles east on Ranch Road 1 and cross the Pedernales River to the entrance gate of the LBJ Ranch. The gate opens at 9 a.m. The 6-mile loop will follow a leisurely pace. The entire ride is expected to take two hours. Each rider is required to bring their own bike, helmet, and drinking water. The Highland Lakes VFW Post 6974 hosts charity bingo Mondays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.; sale starts at 5 p.m. Early birds begin at 6 p.m.; includes 6 games at $1 per card that pays $50 and 1 double action game at $2 per card that pays $100. The Highland Lakes VFW Post 6974 hosts charity bingo Mondays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.; sale starts at 5 p.m. Early birds begin at 6 p.m.; includes 6 games at $1 per card that pays $50 and 1 double action game at $2 per card that pays $100. Regular games start at 7 p.m. and payouts are roughly 75 percent of pay-ins. There are 7 regular games that come in packets with 3, 6, or 12 cards per page at $8, $15, and $20, respectively. There are also 3 speed mini-games at $1 per card. The VFW tries to play as many pull tabs as it can get in a session that range from $100 to $1,000 payouts. The Highland Lakes VFW Post 6974 hosts charity bingo Mondays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.; sale starts at 5 p.m. Early birds begin at 6 p.m.; includes 6 games at $1 per card that pays $50 and 1 double action game at $2 per card that pays $100. Regular games start at 7 p.m. and payouts are roughly 75 percent of pay-ins. There are 7 regular games that come in packets with 3, 6, or 12 cards per page at $8, $15, and $20, respectively.
