University Health Adult ECMO Comprehensive Training

This comprehensive, three-day course was designed to provide invaluable training to adult ECMO team members with the critical skills and knowledge to excel in managing both Veno-Venous and Veno-Arterial ECMO. This course combines in-depth lectures with highly realistic simulations, providing participants with valuable hands-on experience and the confidence to effectively manage complex ECMO cases. Through this immersive training, participants will develop the necessary expertise to meet the rigorous demands of modern ECMO care. AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring

University Health offers the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring courses. These evidence-based courses use a case-based approach to reinforce the principles of fetal heart monitoring and enhance participants’ ability to analyze complex clinical information and fetal monitoring tracings. Course content emphasizes the physiology of fetal-maternal oxygenation, identification of physiologically based clinical interventions, and best practices for communication and documentation. Participants receive Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) hours upon successful completion of the course requirements. These courses are recommended for perinatal clinicians every two years and may support preparation for, or maintenance of, professional certifications. From Clot to Recovery

Join us for From Clot to Recovery, a multidisciplinary educational symposium focused on advancing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of pulmonary embolism (PE) and venous thromboembolism (VTE). PE management is evolving rapidly. From early recognition and risk stratification to catheter-based therapies, mechanical thrombectomy, surgical embolectomy, ECMO, and multidisciplinary Pulmonary Embolism Response Teams (PERT), clinicians now have an expanding range of treatment options across the spectrum of disease severity. This case-based program brings together experts in Interventional Cardiology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Hematology-Oncology, and ECMO to explore contemporary best practices in VTE care.
