AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

University Health offers the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring courses. These evidence-based courses use a case-based approach to reinforce the principles of fetal heart monitoring and enhance participants’ ability to analyze complex clinical information and fetal monitoring tracings. Course content emphasizes the physiology of fetal-maternal oxygenation, identification of physiologically based clinical interventions, and best practices for communication and documentation. Participants receive Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) hours upon successful completion of the course requirements. These courses are recommended for perinatal clinicians every two years and may support preparation for, or maintenance of, professional certifications. Artificial Intelligence, Sacred Responsibility. Navigating our Future at the Intersection

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming healthcare, from clinical decision-making and psychiatric care to education and operational workflows. As these technologies accelerate, so do the ethical questions surrounding their use.
