Monthly Seminar Series: Biochemical and Physiological Dynamics in Ligament Injury and Healing

Join us for our Monthly Seminar Series with special guest, Amjad A. Ramahi, Ph.D. from the Departments of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the University of California, Davis, and his presentation: Biochemical and Physiological Dynamics in Ligament Injury & Healing Agriculture relies heavily on manual labor and musculoskeletal injuries pose the most common safety risk for workers. This seminar will focus on recent research on musculoskeletal injuries and ligamentous healing responses in a rodent model under different treatment conditions. Research that has evaluated acute injury, as well as experimental methods for evaluating cumulative injury as it relates to occupational exposures, will be discussed. FSPCA PCQI Course for Human Food

Food Science and Technology The Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation (referred to as the Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation) is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual” who has “successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls”. This course developed by the FSPCA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual.”.
