Free Youth Heart Screening

Top Events - Homepage - UC Davis Health The Kyle J. Taylor Foundation (KJTF) in collaboration with UC Davis Health and Project ADAM Sacramento are hosting a Free Youth Heart Screening for the Sacramento community.  The screening is open to anyone ages 12-25 years of age at NO COST.  The KJTF will be providing the EKGs and equipment for screening the community, with the aid of medical volunteers from UC Davis Health.  Cardiologists will be volunteering their time to review the results of the EKGs and make referrals as needed.  The screening includes cardiac risk assessment, EKG, and doctor review, which generally takes about 40 minutes to complete. An Overview of Single Cell Sequencing, Its Applications and Related Campus Resources - Applied Statistics for Translational Researchers Seminar Series

Biostatistics Single cell sequencing technologies such as scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and spatial transcriptomics provide snapshots of gene regulatory activity in individual cells. There is a wide range of basic science and clinical applications, from cell type identification and cellular differentiation analysis to precision medicine and tumor evolution studies. The purpose of this seminar is to give an overview of diverse applications of these technologies in biology and medicine, and to point attendees to the different core services available on campus to help design and execute single cell sequencing studies.
