U of I Rodeo Club College Rodeo

Get ready for an exciting couple of days of rodeo with the University of Idaho's Rodeo Club! Join us April 9th and 10th at the ICCU Outdoor Arena in Lewiston for the Northwest Region College Rodeo! Colleges from across the Northwest Region will be coming to compete, bringing student-athletes from California all the way to British Columbia for two days of exciting collegiate rodeo action. We’ll kick things off with slack on Thursday at 1:00 PM, followed by an evening performance at 6:00 PM you won’t want to miss. On Friday at 10:00 AM, the rodeo wraps up with the Short Go, where the top 10 competitors in each event return to the arena for one final round. This event is fun for all ages, and we’d love to see the community come out to support college athletes and enjoy a great rodeo with friends and family. Introduction to Building Autonomous AI Agents (Tech Talk)

This workshop will be held in the Data Hub (Library room 107) and live via Zoom. In this talk, we’ll dissect agentic system architectures from tool-calling interfaces and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to direct computer-control integrations and multi-agent coordination patterns. We'll explore how existing agentic frameworks handle orchestration, communication protocols, human-in-the-loop safety, evaluation metrics, failure modes and security considerations. We’ll examine agentic models like Kimi K2, specifically trained for optimized task orchestration and how they slot into broader pipelines.
