U of I Energy Institute Energy Symposium
The University of Idaho Energy Institute is hosting its first-ever Energy Symposium, bringing together professionals to explore the methods, goals and opportunities shaping today’s energy project permitting landscape. The event is open to all whose work intersects with energy or the environment. Lunch will be provided.
We will examine hydroelectric relicensing, renewable project permitting and the nuclear project space, including the fuel supply chain and plant permitting programs. A panel will take lessons from the international energy project space and we'll hear up-to-the-minute reports from current permitting reform efforts at the federal, state and local levels.
Our communities depend on access to safe, reliable and affordable energy while also carrying a shared responsibility to protect natural, cultural and historic resources for present and future generations. Balancing these priorities is both a vital responsibility and a complex challenge.
