QPR Suicide Prevention Training

QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer. It is an evidence-based, one-hour training program to help employees and students recognize and respond to someone who may be in a mental health crisis and thinking about suicide. Participants will learn how to: recognize the warning signs of suicide, offer hope, get help and save a life. This training will be held via Zoom. Register at www.uidaho.edu/vheworkshops. Questions? Employee Mental Health First Aid Part II

Mental Health First Aid is a certification program to help folks understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.  Participants must pre-register and complete two hours of pre-work prior to the scheduled instructor-led session. Pre-work does not carry over to rescheduled sessions. Participants must be present for both sessions of the training June 4 and 5 to be certified. Pre-registration required: www.uidaho.edu/mhfa.
