Knowing how to prevent or respond to an opioid overdose can make all the difference. In this workshop, participants will learn how to reduce opioid-related risks using harm reduction approaches, recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose and respond to an opioid emergency by administering Narcan. Narcan and Opioid Response Training is part of the Summer ConnectWell Designated Series, and one of the elective trainings to expand your helping skills and become ConnectWell Designated. Participants will learn about obligations as a university employee, increase knowledge of barriers students may face regarding these issues, knowledge of resources and referrals, and after-the-fact self care. Responding to Disclosures of Interpersonal Violence training is part of the Summer ConnectWell Designated Series, and one of the elective trainings to expand your helping skills and become ConnectWell Designated.
