Student Mental Health First Aid

Vandal Health Education Mental Health First Aid is a certification program to help folks understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack — even with no clinical training — Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health-related crisis. Participants must pre-register and complete two hours of pre-work prior to the scheduled instructor-led session. Pre-work does not carry over to rescheduled sessions. Free Mobile HIV Screening

Vandal Health Education Stop by the Vandal Health Clinic Parking Lot to get a rapid HIV test between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The North Idaho Alliance of Care is bringing their mobile testing van to campus on May 3. No appointment, registration or health insurance info is needed. The CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.
