Intro to Lead Climbing Clinic
A clinic to get you prepared for using your own rope! You will review basic ropes skills, how to use quickdraws and other climbing equipment, lead belaying with a manual braking belay device, catching falls, taking falls safely and the use of effective communication while climbing.
Cost for students is $10. All others $15.
No registration needed, just come a little early to help ensure a spot. Limited to 12 participants. Clinic takes place in the Climbing Center at the University of Idaho Student Rec Center (SRC).

Swiftwater Rescue Training
Learn how to rescue yourself, others and equipment in swiftwater scenarios. Includes equipment and SRT certification. Taught by Swiftwater Safety Institute. The training includes a class session in the SRC on April 4 and a field session April 5-6.
Cost for students is $345 and includes SRT certification.
Registration is completed in person at the Outdoor Program Office located in the Student Recreation Center (SRC). All sign-ups open on the first day of the semester and are first-come, first-served.

Women's-Led River Canyon Backpacking
Come explore the deepest canyon in the United States, visit a historic ranch and fall asleep listening to the Snake River. Includes transportation and group equipment. Women's-led programming is open to all genders.
Cost is $40 for students and $60 for all others.
