This is a two-part training geared towards faculty and staff. Participants must pre-register and complete two hours of pre-work prior to the scheduled instructor led sessions. Denim Day

Join the Violence Prevention and Education office and wear denim to show solidarity with survivors and help end victim-blaming. Stop by the tabling fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the ISUB Plaza for more information and to join in our campus photo at noon. Why Denim? The campaign was originally triggered by a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped her rapist remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim.
