UIRA Tour: Meat Science and Innovation Center
UIRA members will take a look inside the recently-opened Meat Science and Innovation Center Honoring Ron Richard. Its modern technology will better serve the state’s rapidly growing beef industry.
The 12,750-square-foot facility includes a Vandal Brand Meats storefront, a fabrication room, two pass-through smokehouses, a product packaging area, a large classroom with audio-visual technology and an integrated test kitchen, among other amenities.
Parking permits are required on campus, including at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome lot across from the building. Contact uira@uidaho.edu by Monday, Sept. 7 obtaining of a permit is a problem.
