Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival Presents: The Black Bow
Arts & Culture
The Black Bow: a poetic narration of a contemporary creation.
Symbolic to the memories we hold in the back of our mind, this show, in a novelistic way, will be an exploration of my interpretation of the five stages of grief.
The emotions of each stage of grief soon to be tangibly reconciled with words compiled over the years.
I have filled so many pages with poetry. Now, I soon fill the stage with choreography stemming from these words I believe to be pertinent and relatable.
A story from long ago…about letting go, artistically and metaphorically to be remembered as “The Black Bow.”
Ages 3+ are welcome. No babes in arms.

2025 Peak Challenge
Recreation
The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge.
Participants choose when to complete each of the four peaks; Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond - just like the levels of our TFNU membership program. Peaks can be done any time, and in any order, between June 7th and October 14th. Whether you end up bagging just one or do all four - participants will receive an exclusive peak sticker for each mountain top you reach and an exclusive sticker once all four peaks are completed.
Participants bagging all four peaks during that time will also be recognized at the TFNU Fall Trail Mixer October 23rd at the Monarch and receive a pretty cool award.
