2025 Peak Challenge

Recreation The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge. Participants choose when to complete each of the four peaks; Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond - just like the levels of our TFNU membership program. Peaks can be done any time, and in any order, between June 7th and October 14th. Whether you end up bagging just one or do all four - participants will receive an exclusive peak sticker for each mountain top you reach and an exclusive sticker once all four peaks are completed. Participants bagging all four peaks during that time will also be recognized at the TFNU Fall Trail Mixer October 23rd at the Monarch and receive a pretty cool award. Recreation Categories: Biking. Wild Wednesday: Red, White and Blue - A Special Independence Day Program

Community Join us for a special Independence Day program as we learn about bald eagles and why they are our national symbol with the help of the Ogden Nature Center’s own bald eagle, Des Ta Te.  Then go outside and search for things in nature that are RED, WHITE, and BLUE.  You’ll be amazed at what you can find! Program will highlight some scout requirements. Class begins promptly at 3:45. This 20 minute program led by a teacher/naturalist may be followed by free time on your own to further explore the Nature Center grounds. Please note that the trails and Visitor Center close by 5pm. Community Join us for a morning of peace and mindfulness with certified Forest Bathing Guide, Ian Napper! Forest Bathing (aka shinrin-yoku) is an opportunity to slow down, come home to the present moment, reconnect to Nature, and create spaciousness. Recreation The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge. Participants choose when to complete each of the four peaks; Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond - just like the levels of our TFNU membership program. Peaks can be done any time, and in any order, between June 7th and October 14th. Whether you end up bagging just one or do all four - participants will receive an exclusive peak sticker for each mountain top you reach and an exclusive sticker once all four peaks are completed. Lindquist Family Symphony Pops Concert and Fireworks

Special Events The Lindquist Family Symphony and Pops Concert has dazzled crowds and brought the community together since 1978. Held every summer at Weber State University, against the backdrop of the stunning Wasatch Mountains, this free community celebration has found a home in Ogden thanks to John A. and Telitha E. Lindquist. Nearly 50 years later, John E. Lindquist, president of Lindquist Mortuaries and Cemeteries in Ogden, proudly continues the tradition. The event features an outdoor performance by the New American Philharmonic at the iconic Ada Lindquist Plaza at the heart of campus. The performance includes Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” with a battery of 16 cannons provided by the Cannoneers of the Wasatch. Then, set to patriotic music, spectators enjoy one of the largest fireworks displays in Utah. Food trucks and other vendors are often on hand to serve attendees. Recreation The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Recreation The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge. Participants choose when to complete each of the four peaks; Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond - just like the levels of our TFNU membership program. Peaks can be done any time, and in any order, between June 7th and October 14th. Whether you end up bagging just one or do all four - participants will receive an exclusive peak sticker for each mountain top you reach and an exclusive sticker once all four peaks are completed. Recreation The Peak Challenge is a self-paced trail challenge for Northern Utah trail lovers to set a goal to bag all four iconic local Peaks in one season. Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge. Participants choose when to complete each of the four peaks; Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond - just like the levels of our TFNU membership program. Peaks can be done any time, and in any order, between June 7th and October 14th. Whether you end up bagging just one or do all four - participants will receive an exclusive peak sticker for each mountain top you reach and an exclusive sticker once all four peaks are completed. Traces of the West Art Show

Ranging in elevation from Malans at 6980 feet all the way to Ben Lomond Peak at 9711 feet. Anyone who has completed any of these four peaks will tell you that they can be a bit of a challenge.
