Bryce Canyon National Park Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events Bryce Canyon is one of Utah’s most loved national parks, and for reason!  The Southwest has few views as unique and breathtaking as Bryce Canyon National Park and its majestic amphitheaters of limestone rock formations and bright colors under clear blue skies. At 8,000 feet above sea level you will find relief from the hot desert temperatures of St. George. Known as an illuminated landscape, the multi colored hoodoos and towering spires are truly fascinating. You’ll see why viewpoints such as Inspiration Point are properly named. Hikes within Bryce Canyon can be described as moderate to strenuous due to the high elevation and steep slopes of some of the trails. Available seasonally. Cost: $250. Registration Required: Yes. Daily Guided Hike: Endurance Level

Outdoor Recreation Events Sure to test the endurance of even the fittest, this hike is intense and fast paced with infrequent breaks. Endurance Hikers must have the confidence to move quickly over uneven terrain in an unfamiliar landscape, navigate wilderness trails, steep slick rock, desert washes and rocky terrain. Distance varies between 5 - 8 miles with elevation change up to 1500 feet.  Guests are required to carry water and wear a closed toed athletic shoe on hikes. Please check with the Outdoor Recreation staff before undertaking this hike if you are unsure.​ Note that meeting time and location for Endurance Hikes differ from the Explorer and Challenge hikes. Daily Guided Hike: Explorer or Challenge Level

Outdoor Recreation Events Guests are required to carry water and wear a close toed athletic shoe on either level of hiking. Two levels are offered daily: Explorer Hike: This is an excellent entry level hike.  Explorer hikes are at a moderate pace over varied terrain with rest stops for guide explanations and photography.  Hiking trails are on uneven desert terrain of sandstone, lava rock, hard pack dirt and loose sand.  Distances vary between 3-5 miles with moderate elevation changes.  Appropriate hiking footwear and water and backpacks are required for all hikes. Challenge Hike: Challenge hikes are for experienced hikers. We hike at an aerobic pace designed to challenge confident hikers.  Trails vary daily and can include uneven desert terrain, rock scrambling, exposure, slick rock areas, sandy washes and basalt.  Guests need to be prepared to hike up to 5 miles with elevation changes.  Appropriate hiking footwear, water and a pack for "hands free hiking" are required.  Check-in 10 minutes prior to departure. Anasazi Pottery Workshop

Wellness Events In this class, you will build and decorate a pot using the early techniques and tools of the Anasazi. In addition to shaping the pot by hand, you will decorate it using native southwestern plant brushes and paints made from ground minerals, clay and vegetation. Zion National Park- The Narrows Water Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events The Narrows is a great summer adventure that will keep you cool during your visit to Zion National Park.  This hike follows along the Virgin River, with lengthy sections of wading through the river or hiking along exposed sandbars.  As your hike further upstream, the 1,000 foot canyon walls with their fluted forms and zebra-striped mineral deposits created during millenniums of erosion by the Virgin River slowly close in around you. This hike is available seasonally. We provide you with professional river gear to make this adventure even more enjoyable. Come dressed to hike & get wet!! Registration Required Cost: $200. Outdoor Recreation Events Sure to test the endurance of even the fittest, this hike is intense and fast paced with infrequent breaks. Endurance Hikers must have the confidence to move quickly over uneven terrain in an unfamiliar landscape, navigate wilderness trails, steep slick rock, desert washes and rocky terrain. Zion National Park- The Narrows Water Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events The Narrows is a great summer adventure that will keep you cool during your visit to Zion National Park.  This hike follows along the Virgin River, with lengthy sections of wading through the river or hiking along exposed sandbars.  As your hike further upstream, the 1,000 foot canyon walls with their fluted forms and zebra-striped mineral deposits created during millenniums of erosion by the Virgin River slowly close in around you. This hike is available seasonally. We provide you with professional river gear to make this adventure even more enjoyable. Come dressed to hike & get wet!! Registration Required Cost: $200. Challenge Hike: Challenge hikes are for experienced hikers. Bryce Canyon National Park Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events Bryce Canyon is one of Utah’s most loved national parks, and for reason!  The Southwest has few views as unique and breathtaking as Bryce Canyon National Park and its majestic amphitheaters of limestone rock formations and bright colors under clear blue skies. At 8,000 feet above sea level you will find relief from the hot desert temperatures of St. George. Known as an illuminated landscape, the multi colored hoodoos and towering spires are truly fascinating. You’ll see why viewpoints such as Inspiration Point are properly named. Zion National Park- The Narrows Water Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events The Narrows is a great summer adventure that will keep you cool during your visit to Zion National Park.  This hike follows along the Virgin River, with lengthy sections of wading through the river or hiking along exposed sandbars.  As your hike further upstream, the 1,000 foot canyon walls with their fluted forms and zebra-striped mineral deposits created during millenniums of erosion by the Virgin River slowly close in around you. This hike is available seasonally. We provide you with professional river gear to make this adventure even more enjoyable. Come dressed to hike & get wet!! Registration Required Cost: $200. Outdoor Recreation Events Guests are required to carry water and wear a close toed athletic shoe on either level of hiking. Two levels are offered daily: Explorer Hike: This is an excellent entry level hike.  Explorer hikes are at a moderate pace over varied terrain with rest stops for guide explanations and photography.  Hiking trails are on uneven desert terrain of sandstone, lava rock, hard pack dirt and loose sand.  Distances vary between 3-5 miles with moderate elevation changes.  Appropriate hiking footwear and water and backpacks are required for all hikes. Challenge Hike: Challenge hikes are for experienced hikers. Two levels are offered daily: Explorer Hike: This is an excellent entry level hike.  Explorer hikes are at a moderate pace over varied terrain with rest stops for guide explanations and photography.  Hiking trails are on uneven desert terrain of sandstone, lava rock, hard pack dirt and loose sand.  Distances vary between 3-5 miles with moderate elevation changes.  Appropriate hiking footwear and water and backpacks are required for all hikes. Challenge Hike: Challenge hikes are for experienced hikers. We hike at an aerobic pace designed to challenge confident hikers.  Trails vary daily and can include uneven desert terrain, rock scrambling, exposure, slick rock areas, sandy washes and basalt.  Guests need to be prepared to hike up to 5 miles with elevation changes.  Appropriate hiking footwear, water and a pack for "hands free hiking" are required.  Check-in 10 minutes prior to departure. Zion National Park- The Narrows Water Hike

Outdoor Recreation Events The Narrows is a great summer adventure that will keep you cool during your visit to Zion National Park.  This hike follows along the Virgin River, with lengthy sections of wading through the river or hiking along exposed sandbars.  As your hike further upstream, the 1,000 foot canyon walls with their fluted forms and zebra-striped mineral deposits created during millenniums of erosion by the Virgin River slowly close in around you.
