ASL Interpreted Performance Apr. 9
Book by Joe Masteroff | Based on the Play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood | Music by John Kander |
Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Set against the backdrop of a changing Berlin in 1931, Cabaret follows the vibrant world of the Kit Kat Club, where performers dazzle and life feels carefree—at least on the surface. As the political climate darkens, the story of an American writer and a British cabaret singer becomes a haunting reflection on love, identity, and the dangers of looking away. A gripping, unforgettable musical that confronts the fragility of freedom.

Onstage Ogden presents Women of Americana: A Celebration of American Music, From Bob Dylan to Bonnie Raitt
Arts & Culture
While difficult to define, you know Americana when you hear it. It’s expansive yet singularly American, with influences of folk-rock, roots, and plenty of cowboy boots. Women of Americana: A Celebration of American Music traces the genre’s origins from the founding fathers (and mothers) of country through the ‘60s folk revival to today’s singer-songwriter luminaries. Two of Nashville’s finest powerhouse players and storytellers, Cristina Vane and Brennen Leigh, reinterpret iconic songs from legends like Woody Guthrie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt and John Prine, Lucinda Williams and more. Get ready for Women of Americana – with full-throttle pickin’ sizzlin’ slide guitar, and hypnotic harmonies, this night of vintage vibes pops and crackles like your favorite record.

Arts & Culture
What does justice sound like? Meet Tonality, the GRAMMY®-winning choir that blends beautiful voices with real issues of social justice. Praised by Kelly Clarkson as “one of the most unique and powerful choirs in America,” Tonality leans into fearless themes—from mental health to climate change, racial justice to refugee rights. Each concert is a living, breathing call to action.

If you’re a fan of paper airplanes, this program is also for you! We’ll use an easy-to-make craft to discuss why some birds are able to migrate long distances and others are able to dive-bomb at record speeds—all due to the shape of their wings.
Class begins promptly at 3:45. This 20 minute program led by a teacher/naturalist may be followed by free time on your own to further explore the Nature Center grounds. Please note that the trails and Visitor Center close by 5pm.

Utah Symphony Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3
Arts & Culture
An audience favorite and the most beloved of Prokofiev’s five piano concertos, Piano Concerto No. 3 stands out in kaleidoscopic brilliance. Described as “devilishly difficult” by the composer himself, No. 3 unfolds like a lively dialogue – or a boxing match – between orchestra and piano. The equally matched contenders come out swinging, trading blustery blows and witty jabs until the frenetic finale.
The evening evolves as your Utah Symphony illuminates Elgar’s “passionate pilgrimage of the soul” in Symphony No. 2. Dedicated to the late King Edward VII in 1911, Elgar’s deeply personal and introspective symphony starts off triumphantly before revealing layers of underlying conflict. Discover decadent melodies and startling depth in this night devoted to early 20th century treasures.
