Join the Ogden Nature Center as we learn about all the tiny creatures that live within pond ecosystems. Drumming in Nature

Community Classes in Nature Join performance artist Deja Mitchell against the beautiful backdrop of Ogden Nature Center as she teaches the basics of African drumming. This class is designed to improve the health, wellbeing, and socialization of people 55 and older. Participants will learn the basics of djembe drum technique. The class series culminates in a performance for friends and family.  No prior experience is needed. Participants do not need to bring anything with them, but should dress comfortably to allow free movement. Classes are progressive, so attending every class is recommended. Weed 'em & Reap

Community Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Honor & Remember Utah's Fallen Service Members Boot Display

Community Operation Hero is a non-profit 501-c3 organization (Tax ID #47-5167502)  that continues the legacy of 1SG Tracy Stapley, who died July 3, 2013, on deployment in Qatar. We have 3 pillars with our organization: 1) giving back to Gold & Blue Star Families, single Service Member here in Utah and Nationwide, 2) educating current Service Members and their families about the importance of being prepared for the unexpected and 3) honoring Utah’s Fallen Service Members with a boot display (375+) to honor each one who has died while actively serving since 9/11. Our annual Honor and Remember Utah’s Fallen Service Members boot display event will be held over Memorial Day weekend in May of 2025 at Union Station Ogden, Utah.  A very meaningful event as we raise awareness within our community about the service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in support of our country and the true meaning of Memorial Day. Backyard Birdwatching: Make Your Own Bird Feeder!

Community Classes in Nature Birds are a delight to watch and hear, and they’re even better to watch from the comfort of your own home. In this program, you’ll get crafty with a DIY wooden bird feeder that you can decorate and then hang up in your backyard to attract birds. As you paint, you’ll learn all about backyard bird watching in Utah and then get a chance to see ONC’s birds of prey. Community Classes in Nature Join performance artist Deja Mitchell against the beautiful backdrop of Ogden Nature Center as she teaches the basics of African drumming. This class is designed to improve the health, wellbeing, and socialization of people 55 and older. Participants will learn the basics of djembe drum technique. Weed 'em & Reap

Community Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Weed 'em & Reap

Community Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Weed 'em & Reap

Community Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Weed 'em & Reap

Community Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own.
