The Ogden Pioneer Days and the Eccles Art Center’s Main Galleries exhibits western-themed artists during the Ogden Pioneer Days’ “Traces of the West” art show and includes recent work with a western theme. This year’s categories include two-dimensional art, including drawing and painting, and three-dimensional art, including sculpture and high-end western gear. Local artists throughout Utah, as well as those from Arizona and Idaho, are participating.
The invitational art competition will open Friday, July 4 and run throughout the month. A reception for artists and the public is held in conjunction with Ogden’s Art Stroll on Friday, July 4 from 5 to 9pm—awards will be posted.

Serve, learn and have fun with a unique program designed to get teens out of the house this summer. Participate in citizen science, habitat restoration, Nature Center projects and more, all while making friends and giving back to the community. Volunteens work on and off-site with Nature Center staff in a fun, friendly, supervised learning environment.

Weed 'em & Reap
Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.
When: Fridays 8-10 AM

Weed 'em & Reap
Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.
When: Fridays 8-10 AM

Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.
