Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.
When: Fridays 8-10 AM

Forest Bathing (aka shinrin-yoku) is an opportunity to slow down, come home to the present moment, reconnect to Nature, and create spaciousness. This hour-and-a-half session will guide guests with invitational options into mindful movement, mindful breathing, centering, directed awareness, and other experiential practices while we engage with moment and the more-than-human-world. Oops I Arted Summer Art Camp

Bring your kids for a fun and educational 6-week Summer Semester.
What:
This semester-long camp/class will inspire and motivate your student(s) to be creative in new ways as they explore art through a variety of media. Students will learn how to use new tools and create projects that are unique, fun and engaging.
In class we focus on the process of learning a new skill and encouraging students to discover their own unique way to create. Our Class Motto is “You Are the Artist” We use this phrase to remind students that they make the creative decisions.
This summer some of our classes will be: Marbling bandanna’s, Build an Animal Habitat, Paint Watercolor Aspens and more! The semester will end with an Art Show where your students are the featured artist!

This year our classes will be on Thursday’s: 2:30 to 3:30 OR from 1:00 to 2:00 for Kindergarten to 6th Grade. We start classes on the week of June 19th and end on the week of July 31st. We will have the week of July 24th off. The class is $99.

In class we focus on the process of learning a new skill and encouraging students to discover their own unique way to create. Our Class Motto is “You Are the Artist” We use this phrase to remind students that they make the creative decisions.
This summer some of our classes will be: Marbling bandanna’s, Build an Animal Habitat, Paint Watercolor Aspens and more! The semester will end with an Art Show where your students are the featured artist!

Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

Bring your kids for a fun and educational 6-week Summer Semester.
What:
This semester-long camp/class will inspire and motivate your student(s) to be creative in new ways as they explore art through a variety of media. Students will learn how to use new tools and create projects that are unique, fun and engaging.
In class we focus on the process of learning a new skill and encouraging students to discover their own unique way to create. Our Class Motto is “You Are the Artist” We use this phrase to remind students that they make the creative decisions.

Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

From fungi and bacteria to worms and beetles, come learn why decomposers are vital to life on earth. See decomposers in action as we explore the Nature Center for signs of life in rotting logs or fallen leaves.

Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

The Lindquist Family Symphony and Pops Concert has dazzled crowds and brought the community together since 1978. Held every summer at Weber State University, against the backdrop of the stunning Wasatch Mountains, this free community celebration has found a home in Ogden thanks to John A. and Telitha E. Lindquist.
Nearly 50 years later, John E. Lindquist, president of Lindquist Mortuaries and Cemeteries in Ogden, proudly continues the tradition. The event features an outdoor performance by the New American Philharmonic at the iconic Ada Lindquist Plaza at the heart of campus. The performance includes Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” with a battery of 16 cannons provided by the Cannoneers of the Wasatch. Then, set to patriotic music, spectators enjoy one of the largest fireworks displays in Utah. Food trucks and other vendors are often on hand to serve attendees.

Don’t miss this year’s Special Kids Rodeo, a touching and inspiring event held as part of Ogden Pioneer Days. The Special Kids Rodeo provides an opportunity for special children to ride a horse, learn how to rope like a cowboy and participate in several other western-related events. Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.

Join us for the 19th Annual Ogden Arts Festival, now under the leadership of the Ogden Downtown Alliance! Taking place at Ogden's historic Union Station on Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th, 2025, this celebrated community event features 100+ local and regional artists showcasing original art in various medium categories. The festival features artist vendors, live music and performances, food and drink vendors, and interactive experiences for all ages.

The Ogden Pioneer Days and the Eccles Art Center’s Main Galleries exhibits western-themed artists during the Ogden Pioneer Days’ “Traces of the West” art show and includes recent work with a western theme. This year’s categories include two-dimensional art, including drawing and painting, and three-dimensional art, including sculpture and high-end western gear. Local artists throughout Utah, as well as those from Arizona and Idaho, are participating.
The invitational art competition will open Friday, July 4 and run throughout the month. A reception for artists and the public is held in conjunction with Ogden’s Art Stroll on Friday, July 4 from 5 to 9pm—awards will be posted.

Serve, learn and have fun with a unique program designed to get teens out of the house this summer. Participate in citizen science, habitat restoration, Nature Center projects and more, all while making friends and giving back to the community. Volunteens work on and off-site with Nature Center staff in a fun, friendly, supervised learning environment.
