Community
Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property. Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Ages 16 and over.
When: Fridays 8-10 AM

The WSU Empty Bowls Event hosted by the Eccles Community Art Center features hand-made pottery bowls, music by Weber State piano performance students, food from area restaurants: Roosters, Table 25, La Ferrovia, Javier's, Tona, and Cafe Central. An opportunity drawing will have prizes from Taboo Pizza, Weber State University, Grounds for Coffee, Lucky Slice and other local businesses. The ring will be made by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. Participants will make a copper witch, ghost or jack o’lantern necklace or ornament out of copper with brass accents. Participants will learn how to cut, file, texture and solder metal. Options will include stamping a word or date if desired. All materials and tools will be provided. No experience required.

Ogden Musical Theatre is thrilled to present a haunting and immersive production of Dracula, adapted by Jennifer Westfall from Bram Stoker's iconic novel. This spine-chilling play will take audiences on a journey into the dark and eerie world of Count Dracula, featuring an atmospheric set inspired by the silent film era with monochrome visuals, deep disturbing music, and a Gothic ambiance that heightens the horror.
"Jennifer Westfall has created a truly captivating adaptation that brings new life to this timeless tale. Our audience can expect to be transported into Dracula’s world in a way they’ve never experienced before,” said Executive Producer Kassi Bybee.
This production is not a musical and is not recommended for children under 12 due to its intense and mature themes.

Happy Holidays! Santa is planning his arrival in Ogden with the Holiday Electric Light Parade on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
The parade begins at 5:30pm and will go south on Washington Boulevard from 22nd Street to 28th Street. At the conclusion of the parade, approximately 6:30pm, Santa will turn on the lights of Christmas Village and kick-off the month-long holiday celebration with Christmas Village on display at Municipal Gardens.
Floats will be on display in front of the Amphitheater on 25th Street after the parade. Those interested in having an entry in the parade should contact Ogden City Special Events at 801-629-8547.

Ogden City’s Christmas Village illuminates downtown Ogden with its magnificent festive lights every year from the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the first weekend in January.
Bundle up and come stroll through the village and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Beginning Nov 30, Santa will greet children in his castle Mon – Fri, 6 to 9pm, and Saturdays, 5 to 9pm through Dec 23. Pictures with Santa are just $5.
